Table for One-Simple Summer Supper!

Hi everyone!
I'm joining Tablescape Thursday and Simple Pleasures with a simple setting that represents the best of summer to me, flowers and tomatoes from the garden, corn on the cob and some meat off the grill! I hear pork's pretty good:@)

Corelle Wildflower pattern, I found a couple plates at the thrift store 79 cents each. I like to pick up different patterns as I see them, because apparently, one can never have enough dishes!
And speaking of that...
Don't forget to enter my give-away for this milk glass basket! HERE
Please stop by Susan's and see what everyone else dishes up!
Have a happy day!

  1. What a cute tablescape...oh I do hope I win that very sweet little basket...I have the larger one and how pretty they would be sitting side by side. I did post your give away on my blog. Have a wonderful day! Hugs, Jenn

  2. Since I started my blog almost a year ago, I can't tell you how many dishes have come to live at my house. The tomatoes look so pretty in the basket...they just scream summer! Your "new" plates are really cute.

  6. I have a bunch of that pattern but you can barely see the colours any more and the stripe around the edge...gone. They are so worn out. It was my favorite pattern and I still use them daily.

  7. Those dishes are my Moms pattern, and they are SO pretty... I especially LOVE corelle for picnics, SO LIGHT to carry in and out... and they keep coming out with the BEST patterns... LOVE that little milkglass basket, I was just out analyzing my gardens as to the hydrangea bloom that would look best in it..Hmmmm... there were Dr. Seuss "dust specks floating in the air" and I can't help to stop and listen to see if there were any cries for help....NOPE, all is well in Whoville!
Love your little vignette, it's so cute!

  22. Hmmm--those dishes look very familiar but I had forgotten about them I'm pretty sure my mother had some when I was little. Did they come with an orange saucer for the teacup? I'm glad you liked the little pig on my post today. I actually thought about you when I was writing about him! Linda
