Working up to the holiday weekend!

Hi everyone!
I'm joining Blue MondayMetamorphosis Monday and Modern Craftswoman (thanks for the invite Rory!) with the stained glass flag I made to put in the window for the summer holidays! I framed it with a wooden frame that's painted gold.
The star is beveled and reflects the most amazing colors!
I don't have "before" pictures,
glass comes in sheets about the size of notebook paper
only with color and texture!
I hope everyone has a fun and sunny Memorial Day weekend!

  13. Its BEAUTIFUL!!! Just stunning!

Our neighbor in Venice, FL used to do this. There is an art show every year down there, featuring some of his work.

Regarding your peonies: Check out this video on Martha Stewart's site about how to prolong the flowers. I can't wait to try it!

  20. You did a great job! Very graphic and packs a nice punch of color. I tried working with glass, and just couldn't do it. I'm not good at being really precise, (as you can see in all my attempts at projects around my home!!) I need a little "wiggle room" when I work!
Drop by for a visit sometime.

  35. Yay! A stained glass crafter. It's beautiful, you did an amazing job. May I have some advice please? The last time I made a piece was 13 years ago before I got pregnant with my 5th child, and I dont remember how to solder chain to the piece for hanging. I bought plain galvanized chain- will this work? Any hints, tips or warnings? Any words of wisdom will be most welcome. Thanks!
