I'm joining Blue Monday, Metamorphosis Monday and Modern Craftswoman (thanks for the invite Rory!) with the stained glass flag I made to put in the window for the summer holidays! I framed it with a wooden frame that's painted gold.
The star is beveled and reflects the most amazing colors!
I don't have "before" pictures,
glass comes in sheets about the size of notebook paper
only with color and texture!
I hope everyone has a fun and sunny Memorial Day weekend!
Well, I think I'd be happier than a pig too! (love your name! That is one amazing and absolutely awesome flag! Thank you so much for sharing!

Its BEAUTIFUL!!! Just stunning!
ReplyDeleteOur neighbor in Venice, FL used to do this. There is an art show every year down there, featuring some of his work.
Regarding your peonies: Check out this video on Martha Stewart's site about how to prolong the flowers. I can't wait to try it!

You are one talented lady! That flag is wonderful! I bet the light shining through is amazing!
ReplyDeleteYou did a great job! Very graphic and packs a nice punch of color. I tried working with glass, and just couldn't do it. I'm not good at being really precise, (as you can see in all my attempts at projects around my home!!) I need a little "wiggle room" when I work!
ReplyDeleteDrop by for a visit sometime.

Is it almost memorial weekend already? I lost track of time. Thanks for the reminder. Nice glass stain.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! You've done this before........such talent.
ReplyDeleteHow fun to find another woman making stained glass on a Blue Monday! That's a very nice flag you've made, makes me longing to do some work of my own again (I'm mainly into fusing at the moment...)
ReplyDeleteLovely flag design, shows lots of movement. Hope your holiday weekend coming up is a good one.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing and making this the most successful Modern Craftswoman Monday so far! Rory
ReplyDeleteYay! A stained glass crafter. It's beautiful, you did an amazing job. May I have some advice please? The last time I made a piece was 13 years ago before I got pregnant with my 5th child, and I dont remember how to solder chain to the piece for hanging. I bought plain galvanized chain- will this work? Any hints, tips or warnings? Any words of wisdom will be most welcome. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteWow, you are blessed with amazing talent, I love your stain glass flag, beautiful! Thank you for visiting and leaving your kind comment on my "Strolling along Memory Lane..."REDNESDAY"! I couldn't believe my eyes when I found this wicker carriage with the "RED" and white gingham hood and "RED" wheels.
