I'm always on the look out for different daffodils, they have quickly become one of my favorite flowers! Here are some I picked from the yard today, and I still have more to come!
This frilly pink one on top is in it's second year,
it came in a box of 5 mixed pink bulbs.
it came in a box of 5 mixed pink bulbs.
The pink one on the bottom has been well established for at least four years now, and will be ready to divide this year. It is a medium sized flower, creamy petals and a mid sized salmon/pink trumpet. The profile is shown in the third picture (lower right).
I have been trying to grow orange and white daffs for quite some time, I'm finally learning that the secret is to let the flower mature (don't cut them too early). Can you see the orange trumpet in the second flower from the left?
This big pom pom type daff is new this year, it is supposed to be white, right now it's a cream/very light yellow. I think it would get whiter if I left it outside, we'll find out next year!
Ok folks, just wanted to share the beauty.
Your daffodils are so pretty!! I did not know they came in such a variety of colors! I learned something today.
