Happy New Year! 2023 Popular Posts

2023 was a year of trying new things and re-direction here at Pig In Mud. I expanded the garden, and by end of season broke the far beds down and decided to keep it compact and at the patio. I also brought Barbie back to PIM in the fall, that turned out to be a good decision:@) Another thing that folks seem to like are my Dollar Tree posts. I've always said, DT is kind of like a scavenger hunt, you never know what you might find... And speaking of finding, I  my St. Nick Foles $2 thrift store ornament:@) Thrift stores are still a big part of my Saturday morning rounds.
The blog remains a fun hobby for me, even as I'm entering my 14th year. Boy that's hard to believe... Looking ahead to 2024, I think I've created a posting schedule that's manageable for myself, and hope to continue sharing recipes, crafts, finds, and ideas that provide a little inspiration, or at least a fun quick peek while enjoying a cuppa!

On to the Top 3 Posts:
Always an adventure...

And I am truly shocked...
Ha, I always chuckle as I create my picked egg post at Easter, and wonder if anyone really makes them? I'm glad to see folks do actually click to take a look:@)

Let's make 2024 an amazing year!
After all,
we're the only ones that can do it:@)
Happy New Year!!!

Year End Review 2022 -Happier Than A Pig In Mud

Happy New Year Everyone! I wanted to pop in with a few favorite things from 2022, just a quick recap... Without a doubt, my favorite project this year was setting up the new Raised Bed Garden. I loved watching it grow and we thoroughly enjoyed the abundance of vegetables! It was nice to have enough to be able to share too:@) I've added an extra bed further out for zucchini and maybe one more type of squash this summer. I'm looking forward to Jan/Feb planning and sketching out what to grow in 2023. That will be a fun winter project.

I've still maintained a consistent blogging schedule here at PIM.
Hard to believe we're coming into year 13:@)
My personal favorite new recipe this year:

The most popular reader recipe from 2022:
And I have to say, it's a great way to use up that one banana!

In addition to the garden, my other favorite hobby... Yep, still getting a kick from Barbie crafts and creating dioramas. It's been fun bringing a little of my own personality to the dolls, and the dollhouse renovation is an on-going project.

I sincerely Thank You for taking the time to visit:@)

Happy New Year Everyone,
I wish you good health and all the best in 2023!!!

Top Three Posts of 2021

It's always fun, and a bit surprising, to look back over the year's posts to see which were the most popular... I love that this year's group has quite literally, a little bit of everything! I say that because I'll add Butterball Cookies as an honorable mention, #3 was pretty close. My focus or direction for 2022? I'll simply say I'm going to try to eat a tad healthier and do some more walking. My biggest foodie goal? I'd like to learn how to make homemade frozen chicken nuggets. Bite size, whole breast meat, lightly breaded and ready to go from freezer to air fryer whenever buffalo chicken sounds good (which is often:@)

As for my top three...
My co-worker says she thinks of Pig In Mud as an appy blog.
Looks like other folks do too:@)

It always tickles me when a canning recipe makes the list!

Yes folks, we do  our Instant Pots:@)

Scrolling through, I was thinking back and have to say,
my personal favorite from this year?
Without a doubt, these Sugar Cookies with Jello Frosting are well worth making again!

As 2021 comes to an end I'd like to say thank you!
Thank you for taking the time to stop by my little corner of the blogging world.
Your visits are what keeps me looking for new recipes and ideas to try, and to share.
I wish you a very ~healthy~ and Happy New Year:@)

2017 Favorites -Reader's Choice and Mine

Happy New Year Everyone! I can't believe we're at the end of 2017 already, time sure does fly! I hope you have your good luck food of choice tucked safely away in the fridge and corks ready to pop (or a nice cuppa to keep you warm and cozy). I wanted to share a few of my favorite things from the year and the number one ~very surprising~ most viewed post. Here we go:@)

My favorite, must-make-again-soon bread: Carrot Onion Dill, for bread machine or oven.

My favorite main dish was a toss up between:

I've been asked a few times what is your favorite spritz cookie recipe?
Well ~as of this moment in time~ I have to say it's the Shortbread Spritz.
They do truly melt in your mouth, don't hesitate to try them folks:@)

This was a very good year for thrift store finds!
I love everything I brought home but these three things (for $15 total), which all happen to be Christmas themed,
are my favorites (I think...).

And finally, what was the number one most viewed post for 2017 at Pig In Mud?
~~~~~~~
wait for it...
Believe it or not... Curry Lime Popcorn!!!
The most viewed post of the year always seems to surprise me!
I'd like to thank each and every one of you that takes time out of your day to visit Pig In Mud.
As I enter my 8th year of blogging, I appreciate you, and your kind motivation, more than you will ever know.
Wishing everyone a very happy, healthy and wonderful 2018-enjoy every day:@)
Happy New Year 2017! And Top Three Posts of 2016
Just a couple more days left in 2016... I hope you have your New Year's plans in place and the pork and sauerkraut safely tucked away for dinner!
I'm always amused when I scroll through the year's worth of posts to see what folks have clicked on the most. While the top three are all food items, once again I find a pressure cooker recipe, and not only on the list, it's number one! Ooops, spoiler alert:@) Oh well, here ya go folks...
Ha, ha, what more can I say:@)
This is just fun!
Oh so good, I promise:@)
It's hard to believe I've owned this silly little chunk of Blogland for almost seven years now...
I'd like to take a minute to sincerely thank you for stopping by Pig In Mud.
I appreciate your time and enjoy your company.
I wish you all much happiness and success in 2017, but most of all I wish you good health!
Happy 2017 everyone-Eat well, stay safe and play nice:@)
New Year, Turning A New Page?
Hi everyone! As we're getting into the first week of the year I just wanted to touch base from my corner of the world and share our thoughts and aspirations for 2011...
Pinky will exercise more, maybe start by trying to hop a shorter fence!
"Do these flowers make me look fat?"
Pudge pledges to cut back on the sweets.
"If you use less sugar, does that mean you can eat more?"
Bacon Betty is working on becoming a domestic diva and says
"throw another log on the fire, fry me up some bacon and some beans"...
ah... wait a minute, maybe not!
And Earl, well he'll just try to stay out of trouble!
Smells "fishy" to me...
Somehow I think if pigs had fingers his would be crossed behind his back!
Personally, I spent New Years Eve with George Clooney in Vegas!
Yep, I did, we dined at a fancy restaurant, this was our centerpiece.
What do you mean when pigs fly???
Well, I did watch the "Oceans" trilogy over the weekend...
Whatever your hopes, dreams, wishes or resolutions are this year, just remember:
You can do it!
Have a happy day everyone:@)
