Stylin' at the Grill with Le Creuset and Blueberry Jalapeno Sweet Baby Rays

love Le Creuset items and was thrilled when the folks at CutleryandMore.com sent me this fun Barbecue Basting Jar for review! This 16oz jar is heavy duty, handles temperatures up to 500 degrees and squeeeal… has a great pig motif on both sides! The beautiful cherry red glaze is my favorite LC color and as my pic proves, it's very shiny-read: hard to photograph, but lovin' the flag reflection:@)..It comes with a notched lid and silicone brush too.
I see this cute piggy BBQ jar joining me at the grill often!
So, what to put in it?
My boy's favorite BBQ sauce is Sweet Baby Rays-no doubt about it! I decided to stick with that but change it up a tad... Since it's blueberry season (and always jalapeno season for me:@) I thought this Blueberry Jalapeno Sweet Baby Rays BBQ Sauce sounded good and it was amazing with pork! I also slathered it on a cold roasted chicken sandwich and that was great too.
This is best eaten the day it's made.

Blueberry Jalapeno Sweet Baby Rays BBQ Sauce
1 C Sweet Baby Rays BBQ Sauce
1/4 C onion, finely diced
1/4 C jalapeno, finely diced-I removed the seeds but left the membrane for some heat
4 tsp butter
1 C blueberries, fresh or frozen
  1. In small sauce pan over low heat slowly cook the onion and jalapeno in butter until softened.
  2. Add blueberries and crush them. Gently heat the berries until they give off juice.
  3. Add BBQ sauce and cook until it's nice and thick.
  4. Fire up the grill and enjoy!
Have a happy day:@)
