Radish Dip

Hey everyone! I saw this dip in the May 2012 Martha Stewart Living and it caught my eye right away,
I love radishes and dill! A little lemon zest never hurt anything either...
Lovin' the fun little "toasts" that I found near the deli at the Walmart, so cute for appetizers.
If you're looking for a nice fresh dip that's different, I do suggest trying this!

Radish Dip
1 lb radishes (about 25) julienned, plus more for serving
1 1/4 C sour cream
3 oz feta cheese, crumbled
1 tsp lemon zest
3 Tblsp fresh lemon juice (approx 1 1/2 lemons)
1 1/2 tsp kosher salt
1/3 C chopped fresh dill
-Mix all in the morning and refrigerate until ready to serve.
-Serve with toasts, crackers and sliced radishes.

  • The recipe is easily cut in half.
  • This is a mild dip that really does get better the longer it marinates. The radishes add crunch and the feta gives it a bit of a salty bite. I think chopped green olives would be good in this too.
  • While it needs to be stored in the fridge, the dip is most flavorful at room temperature.
  • The only thing I did differently was, I used the grating disc of my food processor (just add the radish not the juice)-julienned radishes Martha... really???
 Have a happy day:@)

  1. I guarantee my mom will mention this one. She loves radishes. I've never really loved them, but I bet I would still like this dip.

  2. I love radishes but hardly eat them. Gotta make this for my husbands upcoming birthday.. sounds great!!!

  3. This sounds wonderful. I would not julienne the radishes either....I shall save this one for our annual summer party!

  4. I like the sound of this recipe--crunchy radishes mixed with other ingredients that we love!!

  5. I am planting radishes this year to help ward off pests, I am happy for the recipe!

  6. Sounds delicious, I think the radish would give it a bit of bite too...

  7. Sounds good and very interesting with the combo of the spicy radish taste with the cool clean taste of the dill and sour cream. xo

  8. I love radishes, never would have thought of using them in a dip, have to try this one!

  9. Good morning Lynn, I too love radishes. Who would think to make a radish dip? You my friend. smile.

I also love lilacs. They were my mom's favorite flowering tree.

Happy days to you and yours,

  10. I love feta so I would probably love this dip. I used to eat radishes as a snack when I was a kid, as I got older I didn't like them as much. Maybe I need to pick up a bunch. I love those little toasts, they are very tasty. xo

  11. This radish dip and the before one,lemon-garlic chick Pea one are just winners! You have the best recipes, ever!! I love dips to serve them before dinner by the bar area, or as appetizers in the living room for dinner guests...than later I lead them to the main food at the dinner table. Thanks, they're great and next party I'm trying them. Enjoy your weekend.

  12. Oh My Goodness Lynn! Where were you when I was pregnant for my youngest son and SLEPT with a big bag of radishes and had a SPARE BAG under the bed? I just COULDN'T satisfy my hunger for radishes! OK, that was 30 years ago "BUT" I still love radishes "BUT" I don't dream about them anymore. I MUST,MUST,MUST make this. It sounds "OH SO GOOD"! I'll whip up some for the weekend. VERY DIFFERENT! Thank you SO MUCH!
    Big Hugs,

  13. Hey, Lynn...
This sounds really good. And, your photo is amazing.:))

  14. My tongue is tingling just thinking about it.

  15. oooo, this is yummy! I like this,

  16. Sounds good, something different! I agree, process the radishes!

  17. I am definitely "clipping" this recipe to my Clipix boards, Lynn. It will be such a refreshing dip. thanks for sharing. :-)

  18. Could you send some of this to my husband? I HATE radishes. He LOVES them. I NEVER make anything with them. He plants them & eats them all himself.

I will show him this recipe but he doesn't cook, so I doubt that he would try making it. I could be nice & do it for him. Naaaaaaaaa....I HATE radishes!!

Thanks for stopping by!
