Not super model photo worthy, but boy is it good!
The jalapeno and bacon are great together.
Bacon-Jalapeno Dip8 oz cream cheese
2 C cheddar, shredded
1/2 C sour cream
1/4 C milk
4 slices bacon, cooked and chopped (go ahead, add more-you know you want to!)
1 Tblsp bacon drippings
1 tsp white wine vinegar
2 jalapenos, thinly sliced
Breadcrumbs (preferably Panko) mixed with some butter
-Mix all but breadcrumbs, spread in a baking dish and top with buttered breadcrumbs.
-Bake at 350 until golden and bubbly, approx 30 minutes.
-I made half the recipe and used a 5" ramekin.
...it's unfair...now I'm hungry and I haven't got any cream cheese, any Cheddar, any bacon, anything for this recipe in the fridge, and stores are already closed :((( , anyway ... have a nice weekend, ciao Flavia

ReplyDeleteWell...I made this dip yesterday. My son just left to drive back to college and took the small amount that was leftover. I added a few more ingredients and some serious jalapeno heat. It was soooo good! We love jalapenos. I'm so glad you shared. We were so full from eating this that we had no room for our dinner! Tasted even better today. I may have licked the spoon when I was making a "to go" box for my son. ;) Thanks!
My husband ate it all! I mean all! while watching TV...good grief.
ReplyDeleteI guess we'll try it again for company....but I'll have to hide it!!!
