Hey everyone-I got a new kitchen toy! I've always liked the idea of these silicone edge beaters but wanted to wait until Kitchen Aid came out with their own version, well they have.
My review: This beater makes creaming sugar and butter/shortening a dream! And it does scrape down the sides of the bowl nicely. If you need a gift idea for the baker in your life (or for the person that has everything), I think this is a great idea!
They come in two sizes, one for tilt head mixers and one for lift bowl mixers and can be found everywhere from Amazon to Macy's to Williams-Sonoma.

Whoot-whoot! I've been wanting one of these Lynn. I'm so glad you had such terrific results with this new beater. I'm asking Santa for one!
ReplyDeletePS, my napkin ring/flower vases came and they are adorable. Thanks for the heads up!
Happy Creaming to YOU!
I didn't know I wanted one of these, but now I do!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the heads up.
I didn't know they existed...I must have one! Thanks for the positive review.
ReplyDeleteI just saw these recently, and really MUST get one! Glad you like it! I love new toys!
ReplyDeleteJoe bought me a Kitchen Aid mixer two years ago and I made him take it back and now we have a real kitchen at the yellow house. Kicking self. I will keep this lovely tidbit of info for when I KEEP the next one.
ReplyDeleteI just got a new KA mixer. Now I'll have to look for one of those babies to go with it. Thanks for the review!
ReplyDeleteI will be getting one of these! Merry Christmas to me!

Didn't know about this product, Lynn. Thanks for the info. It seems like a very useful tool. Glad it's Earl approved!!
ReplyDeleteShannon
I saw this used on QVC with the new glass bowl model...Yippy, can't wait for them to come out with one for the larger bowl! - Cute tablecloth with Santa riding the pig...a relative of Earl perhaps? xo
ReplyDeleteOh I want I want I want. Did not know this even existed.
ReplyDeleteI have to get one for myself. Thanks for sharing this neat and useful tool. I have missed Earl (and you!). xo
ReplyDeleteThanks for the heads up and the review, I've wanted one of those!
ReplyDeleteI got my daughter a Kitchen Aid mixer a few Christmas's ago and I will keep an eye out for this new blade for her and one for me too! Hugs, Linda
ReplyDeleteWoo hoo! I wondered about this but don't know anyone who has one. Thanks for the info and I will be looking for one!
ReplyDeleteSo good to know!! I'll add this to my list for my mixer.
ReplyDeleteLynn,
ReplyDeleteThis is so nifty! But I don't have a Kitchen Aid. Just a really cool Sunbeam.
Love it!
Looks good. I sure would like a Kitchen Aid mixer! Maybe someday. Have a wonderful Christmas, Lynn!
ReplyDeleteI would love to get a kitchen aid mixer in general! sandie
ReplyDeleteI really admire that tablecloth!
ReplyDeleteI bought one, but had to bring it back. I bought the wrong one!And they didn't have the one I needed.
ReplyDeleteDH uses my KA, I use the bigger Delongi, so maybe Santa should bring him one. :)
I definitely need this! What a great present for myself! Thanks for sharing the info!
ReplyDeleteThanks for this review! I need a new blade for my Kitchen Aide mixer as the plastic coating on mine is wearing away. Now I'll look for this style!
ReplyDeleteHi Lynn,
ReplyDeletethat looks gorgeous. And I like the Santa Claus riding on a pig!
Season greetings to you and Earl
I have the non Kitchen Aid version and LOVE IT! No more pouring out batter and realizing some is stuck to the bottom of the bowl. I never use the original one any more. Hope you're enjoying the season!
ReplyDeleteI have one of those, too, Lynn, and I love it!! I wanted to tell you that I made some spritz cookies from a recipe in my old Mirro pamphlet...the "Snowflakes" one. I posted them recently. Merry Christmas to you & Earl.
ReplyDeleteCool! One day I might have to pick one of those up. BTW, I broke down and bought a KitchenAid mixer for myself for Christmas! Love it! No more mixing dough by hand - yay!
ReplyDeleteOh, I didn't even know these existed! I need to see if Santa will put one in my stocking!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the tip. I would love to have this. I know Kitchenaid makes many attachments as well. Happy baking.
ReplyDeleteI so need one of these! I hate scraping down the sides of my KitchenAid. Thanks for the heads up!
ReplyDeleteThe only thing I don't like about my KA mixer is having to constantly scrape the sides of the bowl. It looks like this will take care of the problem.
ReplyDeleteI want one for myself, and I really wish that I hadn't already purchased my niece's gift. This would be perfect for her.
ReplyDeleteAmazing idea. Beater and scraper in one!
ReplyDeleteOh wow, I need to get one of these. I love my kitchen aid mixer and use it quite often.
ReplyDeleteI don't have a counter mixer...someday, I would like to get one, tho. Then, maybe I can get this awesome beater.
ReplyDeleteI bought myself this exact same beater just last week! It works pretty well except I found that it really puffed out the flour from the bowl when I was making cookies, no matter how slowly I started it. Guess I'll have to mix the dry with the wet ingredients a bit more before I turn it on.
ReplyDeleteIt really did a good job of mixing the ingredients away from the sides of the bowl, though.
I think I'll buy one for DD, as well.
Merry Christmas to you, Lynn!
Hugs,
Rett
