Hey everyone! What a mess and we were lucky here north of Philly! Seems the heaviest hit around 2:30AM and my electricity went out around 3AM. Very windy but I'm pleased to say other than me without electricity for 15 hours and Ma's basement flooding my family has come through this very well!
My thoughts are with the folks that are still struggling with the situation and some of the pictures on TV are heartbreaking. If you're warm and dry in your home please thank God, hug your kids and appreciate this day.
Take care:@)

Still going on here. Hairy. Looking forward to tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteGlad you are ok.
Carol
Glad to hear everything is OK on your end! Always a scary thing.
ReplyDeleteJane
glad you're fine and you have power again, obviously!
ReplyDeleteI am glad it wasn't too bad for you! Is Earl still sporting his baggie? I was thinking about you today cause I made your lemon zucchini muffins but turned them into doughnuts. Awesome! I also did the baked beans, but it looks like we are going to have those for dinner tomorrow night. Boy those take a long time! Thanks for sharing the recipes!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the update, Lynn. Glad you got through this with no more problems than you did have. I do thank God for the beautiful days we've been having lately. I have a lot to be grateful for.
ReplyDeleteBlessings, Beth
p.s. Lynn, I invite you to participate in my next party - same day as yours - "Travels Near And Far." It can be about a big trip, or a visit to a place of interest right in your area. And I know Philly has a lot you could brag on! I was there many years ago and had a fun time.
p.p.s. Love your "some of my favorite kitchen toys" widget. That's very cool!
Beth
We got through this just fine too, thank God! Glad you are OK. I feel SO lucky right now. XO, Pinky
ReplyDeleteThank goodness you're all safe, Lynn! This is scary, I know! Still praying for all the other ones.
ReplyDeleteBe a sweetie,
Shelia :)
I'm glad you were not hit!
ReplyDeleteSo glad to hear you and Earl are safe!
ReplyDeleteI am so thankful to have been spared. I prayed hard and am still sending prayers to those not as fortunate. xo,
ReplyDeleteYou were blessed and fortunate not to receive anymore than you did. Trust you and all the others will all be fine since it has moved on.
ReplyDeleteSo happy you and your family are safe! I am praying for those who have not been so lucky! hugs, Linda
ReplyDelete15 hours is a long time without power. I'm glad you're doing well now. I hope the flooding clean-up is quick and easy!
ReplyDeleteSo glad to hear you made it through without too much trouble, sorry about your mom's basement. So sad for many though. xo
ReplyDeleteBeen thinking about you, but I can see that Earl had everything under control!
ReplyDeleteGlad you are doing o.k. I know the basement flooding is a bear but lucky no one was hurt.
ReplyDeleteWe were very fortunate at Myrtle Beach. Those storms really pack a punch!
Glad it wasn't any worse for you, Lynn!

Blessings! I'm glad your and yours are okay. How scary to go thru a hurricane. I live right on the Gulf of Mexico, but you know they always seem to veer off and away from our coast (knocking on wood). I'm sending prayers for those in need.
ReplyDeleteWe only lost our internet on Sunday but it was back up on Sunday night! 5 inches of rain and trees down but nothing on my property so we did good!!
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear that you also fared out okay!!
Hugs,
Debbie
