On the way to 5 a day!
Dining with daisies.
Cake and tea for me.
Love to bake some breakfast cake!
I won the tablecloth on ebay, it has a fun print and great colors.
The dishes are Corelle Crazy Daisy pattern found at Salvation Army, I like the green with this tablecloth.
I made another cake, recipe HERE and I agree with everyone, I think it's prettier with the fruit sliced too.
Have a happy day:@)
I love Spring Blossom Pyrex and these dishes go perfectly with that pattern. I need to find some plates at the thrift! Love the table and esp that cake! yummmy!

ReplyDeleteHi Lynn! I love the olden dishes and the tablecloth is wonderful! I want one just like it. Now I would really love a tiny little sample of that cake! :)
ReplyDeleteBe a sweetie,
shelia ;)
Everything blends together so well. They really compliment each other. The cake seems out of place though, you should just send that to me! LOL! I still think the sliced fruit looks better than the halved fruit. It makes such a pretty presentation.
ReplyDeleteIt is early still early here for eating this type goodies, but I would sure like to try it.
ReplyDeleteI thought that was Corelle but when I saw the cup on it's side it looked to thick. It is a pattern I vaguely remember, they must have made it better back then..Really!?
ReplyDeleteGreat tablecloth find, the colors are so vivid.
I'm on my way over and I'll bring the coffee!!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
susan and Bentley
I love that cloth, Lynn, and your fruit tart is really beautiful and looks delicious. Wish I could join for a cup of coffee and a slice of that tart. xo,
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful table setting! I love Corelle dishes. Our family still uses the set of Old Town Blue Corelle dishes that sweet hubby and I got as a wedding present over 30 years ago.
ReplyDeleteSherry @ A Happy Valentine
Love it!
ReplyDeleteI'll have coffee with cream and a big slice please!
ReplyDeleteBest,

Well, I refuse to call the Crazy Daisy dishes vintage, because I remember when they were new! And fresh! LOL! They do look pretty with that wonderful tablecloth. And the nectarine cake is both beautiful and tempting!
ReplyDeleteOh, so pretty and I'm so hungry for peaches right now! LOL!

ReplyDeleteI'm dying over here! My mom has those exact dishes and still uses them every day!! Brings back memories!!!!
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful week!
Oh my goodness. These were my every day dishes for YEARS. Even when I was tired of them after 20 years, they wouldn't break. Finally got some new ones...but you have now made me sad that I don't still have them!!
ReplyDeletePretty tablecloth & everything on it, too! I used to have a set of Corelle's Crazy Daisy pattern. I think I gave it to my sister & she is still using it. I'm tempted to go BACK to using Corelle, as my current stuff is so dang heavy. Poor DH can't hardly lift it or empty the dishwasher due to arthritis in his hands.
ReplyDeleteI bet that treat tasted even better than it looks. Yummo!
Hugs,
Rett
Love those green and white plates. Hummm I guess I'll have to go visit Salvation Army thrift store?
ReplyDeleteThat cake/pie looks so good and is so pretty!!
This setting is wonderful. I have some corelle downstairs in J's bar I should use. Love it.
ReplyDeleteI bought peaches for your wonderful Martha Steward inspired dessert. They ripened fairly quickly so we ate them...mostly standing over the sink with juice running down our chin and arms!LOL Wonderful peaches. Always have to have some, unpeeled, while standing over the sink! I am still going to try the dessert.:-)
Steward/Stewart!!
ReplyDeleteSo cheery to wake up to! Love that tablecloth, you have a good eye. That breakfast cake looks like it came out of a magazine. Perfection.
ReplyDeleteI love your new cloth.
ReplyDeleteI also love Corelle...lightweight and unbreakable. I don't remember this pattern but it sure is pretty.
That cake is pretty irresistible. To have a slice of it sitting at your beautiful table would be close to paradise. My family would love your cake, whether it was served for breakfast or dessert. It looks delicious. I hope you have a great day. Blessings...Mary
ReplyDeleteI love how you tied this table in to the foodie post, and I think those dishes do go wonderfully with the tablecloth. They make me think of my grandmother for some reason.
ReplyDeleteO' I love this tablecloth and the corelle ware.
ReplyDeleteBut I can't hardly take my eye off that cake!

That looks so good. I had a set of those dishes for 30 plus years and got rid of them. Note to self...never do that again (sigh)!
ReplyDeleteThat picture should be i a magazine - absolutely gorgeous! I am buying peaches today from the roadside stand just so I can make your cake!
