Oh yea baby, could this be an omen???
So I scratched...
Woo Hoo I matched!
...wait a minute, I won a free ticket. So back to the store I go...
And I scratch some more...
Bummer.
This my friends is why I don't play the lottery too often.
I'm hoping I have better luck on the Super Bowl Pool at work!
Happy Pink Saturday:@)

1/15/11-I'm editing this post to participate in Saturday Centus,
how funny the two topics overlapped! The prompt this week is:
The lottery ticket...
Promises hope and the American dream,
But losing only makes me want to scream!
The end:@)

Bummer! It did seem like a good omen to me too.

Best of luck!
ReplyDeleteThe trouble with big prizes is the more the money, the more who play so your chances go down. But hey! You never know - you MIGHT win. :)
Thought you had it and I know you would've shared it...lol....Cute pink though so at least you won a Pink Saturday post.
ReplyDeleteMe too! I will save my money for plates or dishes or something!
ReplyDeleteBUT LYNN, If you WON, would we LOOSE YOU HERE!!! You'd be off world traveling and attending banquets and WHAT WOULD WE DO!!! Only Kidding! I would want you to have ALL THAT!!! MAYBE buy one more ticket, WHO KNOWS! Let "Earl" scratch it off for Luck!!!
ReplyDeleteHugs to you,
Donna
Awww Man! When I saw that piggy on there, I just knew you had won. Oh well, better luck next time! :))
ReplyDeleteI remember one year I bought a lottery ticket (scratch off) and won. I didn't scratch off the amount, but instead put the ticket in a box and wrapped it up as a Christmas gift to my husband. I figured it would be so fun to let him see the amount. It wasn't fun for me though to wait for Christmas. I had a dream the house burnt down and the gifts with it.......it was a huge winner. Well, in reality, it was for $2.00, but it was fun for awhile.....Happy Pink Saturday, Char
ReplyDeleteYEP..this is the very reason I have bought maybe 5 tickets in all these years.
ReplyDeleteGood luck the next time around.:))
How cute....I was rooting for you!!
ReplyDeleteJane
I used to buy the scratch offs like this. Finally gave up as I could never win. However, for Christmas, someone gave me ten. I actually won $20 on one of them. It does not happen much. I have not seen these with the little pig.
ReplyDeleteShucks! I don't play the lottery or buy tickets but I was with ya on this one!
ReplyDeleteOh snap, I would have thought that pig would bring you luck! Hope you do better with the pool!
ReplyDeleteYou are too cute! I couldn't resist if I was FORCED to, I love the 'possibility'.
ReplyDeleteHave a happy PS weekend ~
TTFN ~
Marydon
LOL! I hear you, but I keep on playing and have every intention of winning! :-)
ReplyDeleteXO,
Sheila
Everyone in our department plays when the jackpot is big enough to promise early retirement. Did you use Pudge to scratch it off?
ReplyDeleteWell, wishing you great luck in the pool!
ReplyDeleteNancy
That last jackpot got my attention too but I didn't make it to the store in time to buy any tickets! One of the winners was from my state though. Wrong side of the mountains though so I guess I wouldn't have won anyway! Better luck next time you play the Pink Pig! Happy Pink Saturday!
ReplyDeleteI hear ya! I rarely buy lottery tickets cuz I have the worst luck!!! However, that Hog Heaven would certainly be a HUGE temptation!
ReplyDeleteI hope you have a great PS and a wonderful weekend!! dana
SUPER cute Pink Saturday post! I'm a first-timer, looking forward to seeing more of your pink! :)
ReplyDeleteLOL....I will win the lottery when pink pigs fly!
ReplyDeleteHappy PS!
Licks & Wags, Niki
Ha! Nope, we don't play either. However, my step-dad was one of 7 people who shared an 8.8 million jackpot a few years ago. His generosity to our family completely changed our life! The money's all gone now but we are all in much better financial situations having spent it wisely...and it was fun while it lasted! :)
ReplyDeleteHaPpY pInK sAtUrDaY!
Sarah
How appropriate - a pig pig lottery scratch-off!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my blog. Happy Pink saturday!
I have crappy luck with that stuff.
ReplyDeleteHave a fantastic weekend.
I don't go for the lottery either - this was quite funny!
ReplyDeleteHappy Pink Saturday,
Kathy
Aw shucks! And I thought all bloggers were going to be treated to something spectacular! Better luck next time....Christine
ReplyDeleteBummer..no big winning.. It's hard to beat the odds against us..but fun to try once in awhile.
ReplyDeleteOOOOOOH! I am sorry you didn't win. You have my kind of luck. Bob and I DID purchase tickets for the "big draw". We also registered at our bank for a "customer appreciation" prize. Guess which one we won!!
ReplyDeleteWe enter two drawings for the week and won a bag promotional items. At least when it rains, I will not get a soaking. I will be a walking advertisement.
We figure we made a donation to the state "Hope Scholarship Fund".
Better luck next time?
Hugs, Ginger
Oh bummer! I figured if you had won, you would have sent all of us bloggy friends a plane ticket to the big party you were hosting on some remote tropical island. I guess I will unpack my bag! Those poor cute cabana boys are going to be so disappointed! LOL :)
ReplyDeleteI thought you were announcing that you had won the big one! Well winning a ticket is better than nothing. I actually thought about buying a ticket for the big one, but the lines were rediculous.
ReplyDeletePig Alert!!!! Good One!!! At least you got to Scratch/Rub a Pigs Belly....Twice! Cute post!! Happy Pink Saturday!
ReplyDeleteIf I collected pigs I wouldn't pass up that ticket either.A small price to pay for fun.~Ames
ReplyDeleteThis one's great. And very funny!
ReplyDelete=)
Oh I always lose because I never play.
ReplyDeleteI would have been drawn in too by the omen! hehe
ReplyDeletea perfect SC, so well done ... and good luck with the S B Pool :o)
Great Centus. And how could you NOT buy that ticket? This was a really fun post. Kat
ReplyDeleteMy son bought a lottery ticket a few months ago, and lo and behold, he had a winner! He just knew he had won a million dollars, so he rushed to Safeway to claim his prize. Like you, his prize was another ticket. Bummer is right!!
ReplyDeleteI love it when people take their theme seriously. If you have a blog with a pig as your mascot or symbol you simply must buy that lottery ticket with the picture of the piggys on it, and do exactly as you have done and photograph the process... (I know... we're not supposed to have illustrations with these writing exercises...but it fits in with your theme!!)
ReplyDeleteGreat post!
Best wishes,
Anna
Anna's SC#37-The lottery ticket
We risk a lot for the big chance!
ReplyDeleteGreat compact post! You made powerful use of so few words. Kudos..........cj
ReplyDeleteI buy about 4 tickets a year...only the dollar ones. If I win (the most ever being $2) I turn it back into lottery tickets. You just reminded me that I have 2 to scratch off in my purse!
ReplyDeleteI would have bought that ticket too! Of course I am a compulsive gambler so I would have done it regardless. LOL! Loved your Centus! Great job!
ReplyDeleteI loved your take on the centus!
ReplyDeleteI'm enjoying your cute piggy post and blog. Thanks for the smiles.
ReplyDeletexoRobyn
Hilarious that the topics matched for you this week! Like your centus, sorry about your scratching blues...
ReplyDeleteHi Lynn, I was expecting great news here. Sigh. I almost never but those things. I have seen my friends win though. Not me. Besides, we have a blessed LIFE, so who needs the lottery. Everyone!! Ha! The piggy should have been lucky and I love your 'poem'
ReplyDeleteHugs, Jeanne
LOL, too funny. I think you speak for a lot of people about the lottery, ha. Good centus.
ReplyDeleteI rarely buy lottery tickets for same reason......I hate throwing my money away! Loved the piggies one, however!
ReplyDeleteHope you're having a great weekend! dana
Well talk about leading you on and getting you excited for nothing. damn it!
ReplyDeleteI know the feeling :)
ReplyDeleteLove your little micro-gem!
ReplyDeleteBut love the pig lottery ticket story even better!
What a cute link this week!
Thanks for the smile.
So funny! Better luck next time.
