This is a table in the corner of the kitchen/dining area that my son made in high school,
it fits perfectly and I love it!
The Santa and Mrs. remind me of an old S&P that G-Mom-B had, (I think hers were kissing). Ma found this and thought it would be a nice remembrance until I get lucky and find a "real" one junking-thanks Ma!
My brother made the deer and they are truly one of my favorite decorations!
Ma added the ribbon, bells and holly and I've kept the set the same as the day I received it.
I think they look great with the tree adorned in fruit I bought from
Strawbridges at least 15 years ago.
Be sure to stop by Marty's to see some fabulous displays!
Lynn, what a sweet cloche. I found both my cloches while thrifting. Eventually you will find what you are looking for.
ReplyDeleteOh I love it. Mr. and Mrs. Santa are just perfect for your cloche and the reindeer and pointsettia are fabulous. Gorgeous vignette. Thanks for joining the party. Hugs, Marty

Thanks for your sweet comment on my cloche post. I am planning on entering your reason for the season party. You seem sentimental like me. I think those treasures made by others or inherited from loved ones mean the most, don't you?

ReplyDeleteThe cloche vignette is lovely, and the memories make it all the lovelier.
ReplyDeleteHi Lynn, I have the same S&P set - it was a Christmas gift from a student in 1977!! Your little cloche is adorable and those reindeer and the table are truly keepsakes - just lovely! By the way, your little holiday plate (plus a few more goodies) are boxed up and ready to go - just need to get it to the post office and that probably can't happen until Monday. Thanks for your patience! Ciao, bella!
ReplyDeleteYour cloche vignette is full of treasured memories and brought back one to me. My mother used to have ceramic santas that slipped over the candles on the table every Christmas.
ReplyDeleteI hadn't thought about them until reading your post and seeing your santas under the cloche.
Thanks for reminding me.
Judith
