In the past this flower has been dinner plate big, this year not so much, but I'm still grateful for the display! Mother Nature is amazing, the ground is so hard and dry that water just runs off, so the showers (storms) were scattered today. Love that, giving the ground a chance to absorb some, soften up a bit and take in more water with each successive rain. Hopefully we'll have a few more over night too!
I hope Mother Nature is treating you well where you are!

These lillies are fabulous, and don't they smell wonderful. I would clip these and make a centerpiece.

Most of the time, nature provides the best of beauties. Your lily is a very nice color. Just the right touch of red.

You'll probably get even more rain tomorrow. I'm west of you and we had our second day of HEAVY rain and I'm about to float away. Great photo of the Lily.
ReplyDeleteStargazers really are stunning lilies.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Lily! Mine have already faded. We were happy to get rain today ...it was dry for two weeks! Happy Outdoor Wednesday!
ReplyDeleteI love Stargazers. I need to move some of mine, they are next to a tree that has grown and now there is too much shade. Here in Oregon we have had crazy weather, too, June was the wettest June on record and now July is about to become the driest July on record. Our humidity is low, that is a saving grace.
ReplyDeleteWoohoo for rain. Here in the Cincinnati area we are way down too, but we've got flood alerts agian. Your Stargazer Lily is pretty. Wish we had smellavision you can almost smell the wonderful aroma comin thru..LOL
ReplyDeleteBeautiful. Enjoy the rain.

Beautiful lilies! We won't get rain here until later in the year...our summers are hot and dry!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful lillies. The heat is not helping them here though. It's 99 degrees today.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful lily, the color is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing the pictures - that lily is gorgeous! I bought a Tiny Dino lily and I hate it! I don't know what I was thinking.. I have all soft purples, reds, pinks, and yellows and I bought a CONSTRUCTION color orange lily..lol.

Oh, one of my favorite flowers. I just took a picture of mine last night! The fragrance is wonderful! Glad you got the rain you needed! My BIL lives in Garnet Valley, so I know it's needed. Here in Iowa we've had plenty to share!
ReplyDeletePretty. We are getting tons of rain here in the afternoons making it so HUMID but my grass is nice and green and my flowers are blooming. Of course the people on the island who are vacationing are not happy about the rain:-(
ReplyDeleteBeautiful blooms! My weather's been the same as yours. I had one puny Stargazer and now my Madonna's have bloomed - they look good, at least!
