Ice Cream Social!

Hey everyone! Summer is all about ice cream! I have a hodgepodge of items for the Ice Cream Social hosted by Suzy at Kitchen Bouquet. I'm also happy to be joining Pink Saturday and Summer Sundays!
Piggy ice cream scoops:

Sprinkles:
Sugarcraft.com has these fun pig sprinkles, not to mention anything else you might want related to confections, decorations and candy!

True story:
My neighbor across the street has a sweet big stocky English bull dog, he is overly friendly but doesn't listen very well in his enthusiasm... The other day as I went for a walk he came running into the street to see me as his owners yelled for him. Their daughter was visiting and all she said was "George want some ice cream?". I never saw a big dog do an on-the-dime turn like that! True ballet, he was off like a shot! Ah, the power of ice cream!

Art:
I really didn't expect to find any pigs eating ice cream pictures, but Google is a beautiful thing! I'm sharing this cute illustration as posted by http://paigekeiser.blogspot.com/2006/02/ice-cream-pig.html.
Have a happy day and enjoy your ice cream!
PS-I'm now the proud owner of a Cuisinart Ice Cream Maker-can't wait to copy some recipes!!!

  41. I will never forget the doggie ice cream story! I don't think my dog would coming running if I called her during an enthusiastic moment, but she sure knows when I am pulling the ice cream container out of the freezer. She could be in a deep sleep, and would come running to the kitchen if she heard me dishing out ice cream. Love the piggies!
