R-Run through the grass barefoot at least once!
Don't forget the sunscreen and have a happy day:@)
We need an umbrella in the sunshine state right now! I'm having a giveaway girlfriend! Hope you'll stop by soon!
ReplyDeleteYou're so right about the sunsets, and I do believe I'll take you up on the barefoot in the grass.
ReplyDeleteThey actually say it helps your body to walk barefoot on the ground! Sandie
ReplyDeleteSo adorable, this little pig is a ray of sunshine!
ReplyDeleteYou are so good at these Lynn. I have been bare foot in the grass several times. I seem to run off the deck without my shoes without thinking.
ReplyDeleteI pinned your chocolate pie photo. I love chocolate pie!
ReplyDeleteLove it! And the photo is cute, too. : )
ReplyDeleteI always enjoy your very clever poems..thanks friend! xo
ReplyDeleteI have to say I love your blog name! You have got to be an extremely fun person. You poem is so fun and really captures the fun of Summer!
ReplyDeleteLynn
Oh yes - could I add sleeping in to the S? One of my favorite things about summer!
ReplyDeleteSeriously lovin' your Betsy Ross Pie! It looks awesome! Both versions do! Might have to borrow that idea.
I hope you enjoy the lovely warm summer days that you describe in your poem. Can you send some sunshine my way? It's been a very cold and rainy winter over here in Australia and I need a bit of warmth!
ReplyDeleteBest wishes for a wonderful week,
Natasha
Good job - I tried to make a short one up for a reply but I chose the word fun and it all went down hill from the first letter. Have a great day!!
ReplyDeleteYes, yes, yes...that is the way to sum it up...summer!!
ReplyDeleteThere are plenty of inviting summer thoughts in your poem that I would just love to enjoy! Hope you are having a wonderful summer!
ReplyDeleteAhhhhh....that sums up summer.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy!
xxoo
Summer Time! Yay!
ReplyDeleteHappy Summer Lynn. Your poem is perfectly delightful.
ReplyDeleteHi Lynn,
ReplyDeleteHappy Summertime. The piggy in the basin is a keeper.
Best greetings, Johanna
You said it very well...only our grass is so dry that it hurts my feet to run through it right now. We need some of that rain that is stuck in Florida sent to Illinois! The funny thing is that this year, with the warm weather starting in March, I feel like it has been summer for a long time. It is going to be such a shock when it isn't warm and pretty anymore!
ReplyDeleteLove your poem, Lynn! It's starting to get REALLY hot down here in Texas. I'm hoping it's not as brutal as last year...yikes!!! I'd like to be taking a dip with Mr. Pig (is that Earl's cousin?) as it looks pretty good right about now.
ReplyDeleteCute! I've always wanted to visit Cape May!
ReplyDeleteI really liked the poem. Cape May and Point Pleasant were two of our summer haunting spots when we lived on the East coast. Loved them both, but for different reasons. Have a great evening. Blessings...Mary
