Saturday Centus!

Hey everyone! Today I'm happy to be joining Mizz Jenny for Saturday Centus and the prompt is:
The reflection in the mirror.
The Reflection In The Mirror
No doubt the one I'm hardest on,
couldn't be any clearer.
No patience, cut no slack,
won't even take time to hear her.

I really must begin to treat,
the reflection in the mirror,
kinder, with more compassion,
and hold it a little dearer.

Learn from the past, let it go,
tomorrow is nearer.
Rejoice, embrace the day,
stand behind and cheer her.

Have a happy day:@)

  2. I like it, Lynn! I'm horrible at writing poetry, which is so odd since I really do love to read it.

  3. Lynn, this is a great poem. Could be written about me, too. xo,

  4. I love this! How true is it? I try to look in the mirror as little as possible since I don't like or know who that is any more. I should take your advice and learn a little compassion for her.

  5. Amen. We should print that poem and glue it on our mirrors. :)

  6. I used to do a little poetry writing. I have not tried in a long time. Seems when you get older things just do not function as well. That include your thinker.

  16. That reflection i see in my own mirror freaks me out -

    Feral's response poem

"Ive forgotten to brush my hair,
    including my outside mare's
My flooded yard of spring soup,
is showing now on my big croup
And that treework of paper is piling up,
on those dark circles behind my coffee cup
    Will I ever see,
    again the loveliness of forestry?
So lets ignore the negative reflection,
and put on the gear of...
    Happier's SELF PROTECTION!!!

  29. Love this! LOVE THIS!

First I read this. Then I read it out loud. Then I thought what a cool gift this poem would be packaged with a lovely hand mirror for a friend who's being too hard on herself.

    And...

just in case you didn't get it...

    I LOVED THIS!!!!!!
