It's really fun and has some great surprises! I thought I'd join the party with a themed post this week:
Teeny's Peach Martini
Teeny's Peach Martini
As Teeny awaits her ex-fiancée Bing at McTavish's Pub she orders a Peach Martini, the bartender brings her two because it's happy hour... The stool beside me creaked. I glanced up as a dark-haired man sat down and ordered a Guinness. He wore ragged jeans and a faded blue t-shirt with LAWYER OR LIAR-YOU MAKE THE CALL printed across the front. As he leaned his elbows on the counter, a curl fell down over familiar gray eyes.
Please God, not him.Not Cooper O'Malley.
Peach Martini
1 oz Vodka
1 oz Peach Schnapps
1 oz Cranberry juice
Splash of orange juice
Mix all ingredients in a chilled cocktail shaker, pour into glass and garnish with peach slice.
So, who portrayed Cooper O'Malley in your mind's eye?
I enjoyed envisioning him as Matthew McConaughey-YUM:@)
Cheers!
Yum! That sounds delightful....the drink doesn't sound bad either. ;o)
ReplyDeleteI agree with La! Course I am a sucker for Chocolate Martoonis lately. This one looks perfect for summer and sitting poolside! I may have to try one or five.

ReplyDeleteI vote for a younger version of Tom Selleck, a very manly man! :) I'll take the original Tom, but Teeny is a young gal!
ReplyDeleteI'll drink to that! I can't wait to get started on my copy of MLW's book. I may be olden (as Sheila says) but I am not dead.
ReplyDeleteWish I had had a peach martini as I was reading. ;-) It's a fun book! I adore Michael Lee's characters, and Teeny didn't disappoint. See you tomorrow with my contribution. ~ Sarah

I does sound like a delicious cocktail and good call on the Coop actor ;)
ReplyDeleteI've met Matthew a couple of times. He's darling...on the big screen. If he's not too old by now...maybe Dennis Quaid. Fun opportunity to cast the role! Cherry Kay
ReplyDeleteMy literary agent reTweeted the Tweet about Teeny's peach martini! They love it!
ReplyDeleteI've read excerpts- it sounds like a fun read! That martini sounds fun too. :)
ReplyDeleteI agree "Matthew McConaughey"!!! My youngest grandson looks just like him, dimples & all. He's gonna be a heartbreaker, I just know it! ;-)
