Yo-Yo Shamrock Ornaments

Hi everyone! Tonight I'm joining Chari for Sunday Favorites with what was my 3rd post of all time! I started blogging last March and joined Kathleen's St. Patrick's Day Yearly Blog Crawl:@)
*  *  *
I'm happy to be joining Cuisine Kathleen for her blog crawl! (While I've been on my share of pub crawls... this is a first!)

I'm sharing ornaments I made for my feather tree, they started out as yo-yo's
and I shaped them into shamrocks.
Updated-I've been asked how to make them: I started with a round yo-yo and just ran string up through the center, looped it around the outer edge and back into the center, then pulled it a little snug. I did that in three spots to make the three petals of the clover. Once you do it you'll see:@)

It's a good use for scraps of material and they look great on the tree!
Have a happy day!

  26. Very clever to give the yoyo a new shape. Yoyos are also the inspiration for my necklaces. It's amazing all the ways they can be adapted.

  29. Hi Lynn...

    Welcome to the Sunday Favorites repost party, my friend! I'm just tickled to have you join in with the fun! What a great post to reshare with us! I love your shamrock "yoyo's"...what a great idea! As popular as these tiny little yoyo's are...I don't think that I've ever made one myself...although I have seen them made. What a fun and neat craft idea for St. Patricks Day!

    Have a wonderful week, dear lady! Sure hope that you'll join in with the Sunday Favorites party again!

  30. Oh how cute! I'm doing a St Patricks Day blog round up for any and all GREEN blog party and shamrock fun and I will definitely have to include this in the links. They are so cute! :) And I LOVED that cute little chicky by your cute country kitchen ceramic rooster! Very adorable - you should be sure to share that for Barb's "Show Me Your Roosters" blog party this summer. Very adorable combo. :)

    I also wanted to say thank you again for the great cupcake corer and all the other delightful goodies that arrived to put a HUGE smile on this Sandwich Generation granny nanny face. What a treat! Perfect for whipping up surprise cupcakes with the grandkids! Thank you so much. :) Have a blessed week!
