A gentleman was diligently working at taking out a bunch of day lilies, but not just any day lilies,
these flowers are triples!
She asked if she could have some and took them home and enjoyed them for years.
When it was time to split the clump she shared some with me!
to share them with you!
Oh and, it's a good idea to have a basket on your bike!
Have a Happy Day :@)
I can remember a time when we only bought annuals, and shared perennials with each other, or seed..what happened to those days..love your lilies..still waiting for mine to bloom!
ReplyDeleteLove your lilies! Be blessed. Cindy
ReplyDeleteI've never seen a double lily ..It's so nice when other share there flowers with each other..double the pleasure..all the way around.
ReplyDeleteThat's how I've gotten some of my best bloomers for the garden. :)

ReplyDeleteDon't you just love "shared" plants? We have many that we've received from others - and give back in return, as well. I love that.
ReplyDeleteI really got tickled when I saw your blog - love those little pigs at the top, and the name is pure joy.
Thanks for sharing, and also for stopping by my blog!

wow beautiful day lilies... hmmmm, nothing ever appears that great in the trash around my neighbourhood, not that i'm looking but you never know..lol!
ReplyDeleteYou would be surprised how many people do this. Why not take advantage of something you can enjoy, even if someone else does not want it.
ReplyDeleteHow pretty. I haven't seen triples. Wonderful!
ReplyDeleteSherry
Oh how I envy you. I simply could not get a handle on the aphids attacking my day lilies. But I enjoyed them so much while I was waging war against the pests!
ReplyDeleteJane T.
OMG! I have not seen these triple day lilies. They are pretty!
ReplyDeleteThose are really cool. I have lots of different day lillies and have even posted a series on some from a local day lily breeder?? (right word?)and none were triples.

ReplyDeleteI love lillies. I have so many in my garden that are blooming now. That triple lilly is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous lilies! Love the story. In my last neighborhood we shared flowers and plants like that. ~ Tracy
ReplyDeleteWhat a blessing-to capture throw-aways. I've seen places like Home Depot and others alike just throw out plants-but have never been able to grab up the remnants. They are beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI think sometimes shared plants are the best plants!

ReplyDeleteWow, the triplet daylilies are gorgeous. I've never seen them, thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteThose are beauties! I have some that I rescued from a yard where the house was going to be torn down to build an apartment. The guy was having a book sale, and I asked about the plants after he said the house was going to be torn down. I gave him a small amount of money for those and some very nice iris plants. I've gotten some passalong plants, too. That's always fun. Of course, I've given away lots of nice clumps of plants to neighbors and friends.
