Small Batch-Dummy Proof-Sugar Cookies-from Cake Whiz
1/4 C butter
1/3 C sugar
1 egg yolk
1 Tblsp sour cream
1 1/2 tsp vanilla
1 C A/P flour
1/8 tsp salt
1/8 tsp baking powder
Sprinkles, colored sugar, icing, etc, if desired
- Cream butter and sugar.
- Add in yolk and vanilla, mix well.
- Add the rest (and sprinkles if desired), it will get crumbly, you will have to finish mixing with your hands.
- Press into a ball, roll out between two sheets of parchment or wax paper. I suggest aiming for about 1/4" thick.
- Cut with desired cookie cutters.
- Bake on parchment lined cookie sheets at 350 degrees for approximately 6 minutes, turn sheets and bake for 3 minutes more or until edges are slightly golden brown. Note: I had to bake mine twice as long.
- Allow to cool completely on parchment paper.
- Ice or decorate if desired.
Enjoy a cookie and have a happy day:@)

Super cute!!! Think we'll be homebound for a while so might as well get baking!!!
ReplyDeleteI need to try these for TheHUb. Since I am going to be stuck at home I might as well have something non keto for him.
ReplyDeleteVery pretty spring cookies!
ReplyDeleteYour spring cookies are so cute with the sprinkles Lynn! Just the right size to have more than one with a cuppa :)
ReplyDeleteYes, let’s enjoy a nice tea/coffee break together! Your springtime cookies look so yummy and the small batch is perfect. I have some cute Easter cookie cutters I could use. Yes, I saw the bunny shape in the cookies. Happy St. Paddy’s Day 💚☘️💚
ReplyDeleteSo cute! What cutters did you use to get the neat indentations?
ReplyDeleteHello, Walmart had a set of small cutters that have a plunger that adds detail to the cookie. These two shapes were part of the Easter/spring set from a few years ago:@)
DeleteThese look so good! Can't wait to try them!
