"No Heat" Jalapeno Plant Review & BBQ Chicken Stuffed Jalapenos & my favorite jalapeno pickle recipe

After suffering a severe set-back this spring I am please to report that my jalapeno plant is loaded with peppers:@) I tried a new variety called Tricked You, it was written up to have all of the Jalapeno flavor with none of the heat. A couple nice size ones were used for these BBQ Chicken Stuffed Jalapenos. I was very curious to check out the heat... I cut the pepper in half and ran my finger over the membrane, no heat. Took a bite of only membrane, no heat. Cored the seeds out and ran finger over what was left... No heat. But just as advertised, still tasted like jalapeno! So if you're looking for a kinder, gentler version, you might want to give these a try folks.

My pepper plant:

What I bought:

What do I plan to do with a bumper crop of jalapenos, even from just one happy plant?
And this time, I'll even leave the seeds in:@)

BBQ Chicken Stuffed Jalapenos-very simple and basic, no real recipe:
  1. Shredded chicken liberally doused with your favorite BBQ sauce.
  2. Stuff peppers cut in half lengthwise. Clean seeds and membranes first if desired.
  3. Optional: a light sprinkle of panko breadcrumbs
  4. Bake at 375 for approximately 12-15 minutes.
I hope your garden is treating you well-enjoy:@)

  1. I am such a heat wimp, I can hardly eat anything spicy, so I'm excited to learn about these no heat jalapenos! Love the name 😂

  2. LOL, looks good, I will pass it on to my son...who loves hot stuff, but we are wimps here too. Hugs, Sandi

  3. I need to find a jalapeño plant, Lynn. I don’t mind the heat, but just having the flavor would be great. Cleaning and prepping the peppers bothers me.

  4. Hi Lynn! What a great pepper variation! And I think this stuffed recipe look so good! My guy would really love the pickles... for his Phylly cheesesteaks ;)

  5. I'll have to look for those next year! I only bought poblanos this year but I'll get the chicken would taste great in them too.

Thank you for stopping by!
