Happy Halloween and Bracing for Frankenstorm

Hey everyone! Just wanted to pop in and say I wish you all a Happy Halloween Week!
The Mid-Atlantic region is bracing for a major storm/hurricane with widespread expected power outages.
The brunt of it should hit Philly Monday night, winds have already picked up this morning.
Since my area loses electricity often, I don't doubt this time will be any different.

After Earl's Emmy Award winning coverage of Hurricane Irene last year here
I'm sure you're wondering if he'll be covering Hurricane Sandy...
and I'd love to ask him... but he's been cowering under the couch for two days now.

If you're affected by the storm please take care!
Earl and I will check in if we can, if not we'll talk to you when the coast is clear:@)

  13. Please stay safe. I am hearing you are going to get slammed. Last year at this time 90 percent of my town was without for 5 days. We were lucky and never lost it. I don't feel so lucky about this monster though. Good luck friend.

That first picture is so cute, it just makes me squeal!! :D Your Earl posts are my very favorites; but I love your recipe posts, as well. They always make me hungry.

Thanks for sharing this and please be safe. I hope this storm turns back out to sea, and all of you will not be affected.

  26. The weathermen and government officals certainly have me sacred by this hurricane, Lynn! The good thing for me is that my husband will be home to help me bale flood water or hold onto the roof...lol

Stay safe! let's hope we keep power!

  42. Good morning Lynn, Love the pigs in the pumpkin. I remember the piglets when we lived on the dairy farm. I was very young and let me tell you, the mama pig would not let us get near the babies. Believe me we tried. They are so cute.

That storm was awful and Earl better stay under the couch. HA!

    Happy Halloween,
    Jeanne xo

  43. Hulls you and the piggies weathered the horrible storm. We have a couple of friends in Manhattan and their apartment is on the 23 rd floor. The winds were terrible bit the worst was the swaying of the building! Have a fun Halloween!

  44. Lynn, I'm thinking about you, watching the news coverage. I just read it may be a week before power is restored :( I hope that's not the case with you & Earl!
