New Fall Centerpiece

Sometimes kitchen items can become great accents for our home and this two-tier ceramic tray from Williams-Sonoma is a good example. I was e-mailed a great on-line one day sale and all I could imagine was filling it with seasonal items to use as a centerpiece for my kitchen table. Love it!

I looked in all the stores for a fun fall votive holder and came home disappointed. Walked into the livingroom and saw this amber owl I found thrifting for 89¢. We have a winner!

My tutorial for these cute Yo-Yo Pumpkins can be found here. The acorn is a glass Christmas ornament.

This just makes me smile:@)
And of course the tiered tray is available to serve food for any function that comes up.

I have two Williams-Sonoma tips to share:
  1. If you're e-mailed a great buy don't hesitate to call your local store, if they have plenty in stock there's a chance they'll honor the sale price saving you shipping. I put it on hold and picked it up after work the next day. Worst case scenario, they say they can't do it.
  2. Always give them your e-mail address when they ask for it at the register, even if you're already signed up. It puts you on a more "frequent buyer" list with better specials.
Have a happy day:@)

  14. I like that it has sides to it. Good tip about the email and stores. It is the way of the future in shopping for sure. It is basically free advertising for the company and they can pass on the deals to the customer.

  15. Even better, wait till it is at the outlet and on sale!

Very pretty, but it is a beautiful summer day here, and I am not doing Fall for a few more weeks.
    Enjoy your find!
I have been waiting for the galvanized version to go on sale at the outlet. I am waiting them out, cause I am not paying 40 bucks!

  27. Lynn, these little pumpkins are so adorable! I must have missed seeing them last year. Must get to the fabric store to find me some cute prints cuz I need to make me some. Your centerpiece is so cute. I'll have to be a copycat when I make these and use my three tiered metal tray from Lowes. I don't have an owl, so an amber votive will have to do.... :-) Sue
