Black Bean Dip

Greetings from chilly Philly! It's been a very cold weekend, good for watching football and munching.
I literally threw this super simple dip together in 5 minutes, everyone liked it so I thought I'd share:@)

Black Bean Dip
(1) 15 oz can of black beans, rinsed well
1/2 C salsa
1 tsp vinegar-I used red wine vinegar
1/4 tsp cumin
1/4 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp onion powder
A few grinds of black pepper
-Put all in a food processor and let 'er rip!
-Serve with chips or cut up veggies.
Have a happy day:@)

  1. This is a healthy dip! Very similar to a black bean soup I make. I like your note to self ;-) I tell myself that when I make hummus, you don't need the pita bread or chips! Stay warm, Lynn. It got up to 25 degrees here. xo

  5. OMG! I just had this today too! I heated a can of refried black beans and only added salsa and cheese on top. Yours sounds wonderful! I will try it next time. It's very cold here today too and I was looking for cozy comfort food as well!

  6. I love black beans so this dip would be a good one for me. That combination of spices sound like the right choice to enhance the flavor of the beans. Share at my party on Tues. if you like.------- Shannon

  20. I love black beans and they are SO healthy for you. I think I would enjoy them with chips just because I had earned "healthy points" from the beans.

That's the way I look at it, anyway!

  22. The greatest thing about this is that you didn't tell me I had to cook the beans for an hour first : ) I am good with a can opener.
