Applesauce Bread -A Bread Machine Recipe

Did Santa bring you a shiny new bread maker this Christmas? Or maybe you're trying to eat a little healthier, or want to try something a little different... This Applesauce Bread is a recipe for whole wheat lovers! It's a nutty and hearty loaf that's a great way to use up some leftover applesauce.

This bread makes nice toast and would be great for turkey or ham sandwiches.
Oh, and, if you did get a new bread machine...

I've reduced the recipe to a 1lb loaf, you can click the link for the larger 2lb recipe.
1/2 + 1/8 C applesauce-I used unsweetened
1 Tblsp olive oil-I used butter
2 tsp sugar
1/2 tsp salt
3/4 tsp cinnamon
1/2 C whole wheat flour
1 1/8 C A/P flour
3/4 tsp rapid rise yeast
1/8 C raisins - optional
  • Add everything to bread machine, choose soft loaf and let 'er rip. Be sure to check after a couple minutes, you may need to add a little more flour or some water. You want the dough to look like a nice smooth ball.
