Notice all the pretty leaves,
Obligingly roll up my sleeves.
Very carefully rake the yard,
Every leaf, the work is hard.
Maybe soon I'll get a blower,
But today I'll use my mower.
Every year it is the same,
Raking Queen, that is my name!
Have a happy day:@)
I always love your acrostic poems. Nice post!
ReplyDeleteNice post but everything is opposite in my November(Spring here):)
ReplyDeleteI love the words and I love the photos,, oh my gosh my melting heart,, that doggy is a sweet heart!!
ReplyDeleteDon't miss having to rake, just the few that wander in my tiny backyard. That dog is the cutest. xo
ReplyDeleteDown here in my piney stick forest, we have more of a mix of leaves and pine straw. Blechy... and you can't even make leaf stew out of it if you're ten years old.
ReplyDeleteCan I hire this cute guy after he does your yard??
ReplyDeletethat is too adorable...
ReplyDeletemy dog will work for biscuits, too!
ReplyDeleteLove the picture - love the poem. (I know it's an acrostic, but I was going for alliteration.)
ReplyDeleteRaking the leaves is at the bottom of my list as I settle into the little blue house...
ReplyDeleteBrenda

ReplyDeleteY ours always seem to come straight from the heart
N o other one should be brave enough to start
N ot when Ms. LYNN is showing her art.
I should have followed my advice. Just wanted to see if I had improved since English class in school---obviously not.
I will never do this to you again. I am so ashamed.----------
Someone you know and probably wish you didn't.
Love your doggie joke - I bet he is thinking that! sandie
ReplyDeleteCute poem.
ReplyDeleteThis is totally cute...and true!
ReplyDeleteXO,
Jane
Believe it or not, I miss our big trees and all those leaves. We have young trees and little mess. You do need that cute pooch and a bunch of neighbor kids who like all the yummy treats you make. Put up a sign that says pick up leaves for treats with a time and I bet you'd get some takers!!!!
ReplyDeleteWaaay too cute, Lynn...I will buy your first book of poems..:))
ReplyDeleteWe try to mow and mulch the leaves as much as possible. You know... restrictions on yard waste.
ReplyDeleteFun poem, Lynn. Love that pup, I could use him over here :)
ReplyDeleteYou are so good at doing those! I wish my dog would fetch leaves or walnuts! I got those all over the yard!
ReplyDeleteAnd you ...have a great November, hugs, Flavia
ReplyDeleteI'm so happy it's finally November. Thanksgiving will be here before we know it!
ReplyDeleteHi Lynn,
ReplyDeletethe poem is so nice and the doggy is cute, too. May be you should train Earl to catch the leaves.
Best greetings, Johanna
Cute! I'm lucky, my husband really enjoys all things yard and car. So, I never have to do that job. I just get to go out and play in the leaves!
ReplyDeleteI wish I had an adorable leaf raker like that ;) Happy November!
ReplyDeleteI would give that cute dog some bisquits even if he didn't rake my leaves! What a cutie pie!
ReplyDeleteXO,
Sheila
