Happy November!

Hey everyone! Here's a little ode to a big chore in my corner of the world! I need to hire this pooch:@)
Notice all the pretty leaves,
Obligingly roll up my sleeves.
Very carefully rake the yard,
Every leaf, the work is hard.
Maybe soon I'll get a blower,
But today I'll use my mower.
Every year it is the same,
Raking Queen, that is my name!
Have a happy day:@)

  4. Down here in my piney stick forest, we have more of a mix of leaves and pine straw. Blechy... and you can't even make leaf stew out of it if you're ten years old.

  6. Love the picture - love the poem. (I know it's an acrostic, but I was going for alliteration.)

  8. L ove all your poems 'cause you're really smart
Y ours always seem to come straight from the heart
N o other one should be brave enough to start
N ot when Ms. LYNN is showing her art.

I should have followed my advice. Just wanted to see if I had improved since English class in school---obviously not.
I will never do this to you again. I am so ashamed.----------
Someone you know and probably wish you didn't.

  11. Believe it or not, I miss our big trees and all those leaves. We have young trees and little mess. You do need that cute pooch and a bunch of neighbor kids who like all the yummy treats you make. Put up a sign that says pick up leaves for treats with a time and I bet you'd get some takers!!!!

  19. Cute! I'm lucky, my husband really enjoys all things yard and car. So, I never have to do that job. I just get to go out and play in the leaves!
