Oh my word, Lynn, I just had to stop to admire your beautiful Lilacs. I'm in Central PA and my lilacs barely have leaves yet. You lucky "gal." Thank you so much for sharing, Lynn...It was so nice to see flowers after a backing breaking day of mulching...
Your post looks like the one I have scheduled for tomorrow morning :). Wasn't it a lovely day! Just kept taking deep breaths to take in that amazing scent.
The lilacs are wonderful - ours are blooming too. It is cloudy, cool and very rainy this weekend - but a wonderful weekend for sure! Spring is so greet and flowery!
Howdy! If you catch them early they'll be pretty for about 3 days then begin to droop. They have wood stems that need to be split and drink tons of water. Any flowers you cut this year, that branch won't bloom next year... Learned that one the hard way:@)
My boys are grown and on their own and while the day job puts food on the table, it doesn't feed the soul. So this Philly Girl started Pig In Mud. Please join me as I welcome each season and holiday through brief posts focusing on home cooking, baking, crafts and Barbie fun. I hope you find this a happy place that provides inspiration:@) Lynn
