You turned out a great little cake for your taste buds. I did not realize you could bake a cake in the counter top ovens. I got one for my birthday.
ReplyDeleteWow! That's a perfect size for my hubby and I since we're always watching our weight. Watching it go up an down, LOL!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful decorating job too!
Do you think I could use an EZ Bake Oven? = ) All kidding aside, I think this is a great idea even if you made a whole recipe and several ramekins and froze a few. I think you're on to something.
ReplyDeleteBest,
Bonnie
Lynn, this cake is beautiful! Thanks for the recipe and idea. This is perfect for a dessert for two. Great idea!
ReplyDeleteWow, Lynn, that cake is a beauty!! I love the icing/decorating job and the recipe sounds delicious, I have to try it. xo,
ReplyDeleteThat looks delish - so tell me - what were the dimensions? Sandie
ReplyDeleteI love this!! Do you have like a toaster oven? I've been thinking of getting one as it's just me and it's been too hot for the oven to be on. If you don't mind letting me know, that would be great. You did a fabulous job on this cake!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for sharing ~
Pat
Now what a great idea! I love cake but a big one just is too much for just the two of us. I'm like Chatty what size are the ramekins?
ReplyDeleteSilly me....you gave the ramekin size in the recipe! Thanks! :) Linda
ReplyDeleteMost excellent! ;)
ReplyDeleteOh, this is just too cute ;)
ReplyDeleteGorgeous presentation and I can tell by the crumb that this one is moist and wonderful. I love little treats - it makes them seem so much more special and yours is fabulous!
ReplyDeleteThank you for this recipe ... I think it is a perfect dessert to celebrate little things with Miss Phoebe! We love to have tea parties!
ReplyDeleteOMGoodness, that is the cutest little cake! It has made me smile!
ReplyDeleteI had to laugh at From the Kitchen's comment about an EZ Bake Oven but honestly, that is a precious cake! Show us the ramekins. Very cool.
ReplyDeleteActually, I could eat an entire double layer cake, but my jeans wouldn't like it.
ReplyDeleteThis little cake is so pretty and looks delicious.
Pretty Cake... I'll have to remember this recipe when all the teenagers move out & its just honey & me :)
ReplyDeleteLynn, Your cake is really pretty! Sounds and looks good too. Thanks for sharing this.
ReplyDeleteBeth
p.s. My ramekins have gotten relegated to use as catfood bowls. That is, except when I decide to make molten lava cakes...I really should get some different bowls for the cats!
Sometimes I do make myself a little treat when I have a craving, but mine are never this gorgeous or fancy! I tend to do a little ramkin of cobbler or maybe an oven S'more! You got all fancy baker on us!!
ReplyDeleteVery cute idea. I love how you decorated your petite dessert.
ReplyDelete:)
ButterYum
So pretty! I won't make you share it though!
ReplyDeleteLynn,
ReplyDeleteI saw the title to this post and the whole time I waited for it to come up I muttered to myself..."I SO shouldn't read this post...I SO shouldn't read this post..."
Oh no. Now I can see myself doing this regularly. A little cake. For one. Or two. But probably one.
Love the size. It looks like just enough.
ReplyDelete- The Tablescaper
Very cute and it looks so good, Lynn!...Christine
ReplyDeleteWhen I say this beautiful cake I should have known it was you with the great idea. The cake looks so moist I must try it and vanilla is my favorite flavor. I'm not a chocolate girl. Have a great weekend.
ReplyDelete~ ~Ahrisha~ ~
How cute! I have never even thought about baking one little tiny cake before!
ReplyDeleteCute! I love the size and the height of this cake. Plus, your presentation and piping is just gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteHi- I found you through Sweets for a Saturday...very neat idea! Thanks for sharing ;-)
ReplyDeleteYour little cake is just darling. Perfect for me. It made the Top 5 for last week's Sweets for a Saturday.
ReplyDeletewould a 4" by 1 3/4" ramekin work?
ReplyDeleteI'd love to try this recipe, but how in the world do I measure out 1/2 an egg?
ReplyDeleteHi Nana! I crack and egg and mix it up in a cup, then just use what looks like half. I doesn't have to be exact, I do it all the time. Hope you try it:@)
ReplyDeleteAha!! I've been searching for a small cake pan for just this reason! But...the smallest I can find is 7 inches... still not what I want. I've seen the European gals on cooking use tiny pans...they must be somewhere....but...in the meantime...this is the answer! Thanks....
ReplyDeleteyour tiny cake is beautiful....now, I want a decorating class or two as well....
Love it! the counter top ovens are fun!
ReplyDeleteOh thanks so much for this recipe! I always look for mini dessert for me and the bf. Making this one tonight! I love my ramekins
ReplyDeleteHalf an egg? Does that mean whisk the egg and use half? Or is it just either the yoke or white?
