this Jack-O-Lantern is one of them!
I feel it embraces the fun of Halloween, and will be an ageless piece.
Some of the glass is very old, and it really seems to glow when the sun hits it.
The square brown pieces have whispy white streaks through them, kinda eerie...
It measures approx 13"x13", how's that number for Halloween:@)
In all of the time that I worked on glass, this was the closest orange to a true pumpkin that I found-
I was thrilled!
I don't really have a "before" picture, but this is how the glass looks when I buy it. Approx 8 1/2x11" sheets, I store them standing up in plate racks.

ReplyDeleteThat is a great piece! I did a frame in stained glass, to frame some handwritten recipes by my grandmother, for my kitchen! I know the work that went into your piece, I love your jack O lantern! The colors are so complimentary, love it!

Oh, I just love this fun and beautiful Jack O Lantern stained glass. I have done stained glass and I know the work is hard. I only did one piece and that was it. I admire your talent.

Beautiful stained glass jack o lantern! I know a few people who can do this but I've never tried it and have always wanted to take classes! I agree this will definately be a timeless piece! The colors you used are spectacular! It's an awesome work of art!

ReplyDeleteI had a rather intricate stained glass piece made for me earlier this year and I was stunned at all the work that had to go into it. I felt bad for the artist but she did an amazing job with over 500 pieces.
