Chocolate and Valentine's Day go together like...
Kittens and Cuddles?
Sunday and Sports?
Chips and Dip?

ok, they go together like Hearts and Flowers:@)
I found the over-sized candy heart decorations at Michaels, I've also seen a red/pink/white combo.
They'll be adorable for gingerbread men at Christmas too-yep, I do try to think ahead.

Chocolate Spritz Cookies
1 C butter softened
2/3 C sugar
1 egg, large
1 tsp vanilla
2 1/4 C A/P flour
1/3 C unsweetened cocoa (of the store brands, I prefer Hershey's-just this reporter's opinion)
1/2 tsp salt
- Cream butter/shortening, sugar, egg and vanilla till light and fluffy.
- Add dry (I sift mine together) to wet, mix well. This will be a thick dough but kind of sticky. I did the last bit of mixing by hand.
- Use cookie press on cool, ungreased, not non-stick, light colored cookie sheets.
- Bake at 350 for 5 minutes (or till desired firmness/color, mine take about 10 minutes).
- Cool and enjoy!
This is the cookie press I'm currently using, they can be found at Marshall's, TJ Maxx, etc.
Have a happy day:@)
