Parmesan & Cracked Black Pepper Oyster Crackers -No Bake, Less Oil

I enjoyed my first try at dill seasoned oyster crackers so much I thought I'd try some Parmesan & Cracked Black Pepper Oyster Crackers this time. They did not disappoint either:@) This is a nice little snack to add to your sports noshing for the big game, or to add a flavorful crunchy side to a lunch salad. I wouldn't hesitate to make either of these cracker recipes again folks, they are a tad healthier, quick to make and well received by others!

The crackers themselves have salt and there is salt in the cheese...
Feel free to omit the extra 1/4 tsp if you'd like, you know your crowd:@)

Parmesan & Cracked Black Pepper Oyster Crackers
7 oz oyster crackers-this is the Dollar Tree size
2 Tblsp olive oil
1 1/2 Tblsp grated parmesan cheese, the kind in the can
3/4 tsp onion powder
Hearty 1/4 tsp ~coarse~ freshly ground black pepper-and maybe a few extra grinds:@)
1/2 tsp sugar
1/4 tsp kosher salt-can leave this out if desired
  • Mix everything well in large bowl. Scoop into air tight container and let marinate for an hour. Turn bowl upside down every once in a while, Lock-N-Lock is good for this.
Enjoy a snack and have a happy day:@)

  3. I love your lightened up version, Lynn. One of our patient's dads would bring these into our nursing station way back when. We were all addicted!! One of my sons wanted homemade queso for the Super Bowl, but I'm more up for EASY!!!

  4. I have some opened oyster crackers in the pantry that need to be used up. Now, the question is do I make the dill or parmesan crackers??? Both sound great!
