Valentine's Day Cupcakes!

Hi everyone! I'm happy to be joining Cupcake Sunday, Seasonal Sunday, I'm Lovin' It, Sunday Showcase, Masterpiece MondayREDnesday and the Valentine's Party with:
Almond Surprise Cupcakes!

True Confession Time I admit to seeing a fella and giving in to temptation. Happened as I was walking through Wally World looking for cupcake inspiration *head hanging in shame*.

Yep, I'm blaming this purchase on the Dough Boy! Had to be the dimples...

So what's the surprise you ask?
Cherries!!!
I wanted to use my cupcake corer again and had cherries in mind,
so I thought almond cupcakes would be a good match! This recipe is from Food.com.
Alternate title for this post: And A Cherry On Top In The Middle!
Hope you love it if you try it:@)
Almond Cupcakes
3/4 C butter, room temp
1 1/2 C sugar
2 eggs
1 1/2 tsp almond extract
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
2 1/2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
2 1/2 C flour
1 1/4 C milk
-Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
-Cream butter and sugar, add eggs and extract. Add the rest and beat till smooth.
-Fill cupcake liners 2/3 full, this makes approximately 24 cupcakes.
-Bake approximately 20 minutes or until the top is golden brown and springs back when touched.
-Cool completely.
-Then I used my corer, and spooned cherry pie filling into the centers of the cupcakes, two cherries fit in each cupcake!
-Frost as desired.
Have a happy day:@)
