Festive Foods for the 4th of July!

Yep, it's time to start planning for the 4th of July so I wanted to share a few fun foodie ideas! I'm happy to be joining Vee for her monthly Note Card Party, I love this meme for showcasing approaching holidays! Some of these are recipes, some techniques, please click the title for details:@)

  8. We can always count on you for getting us started, in a timely manner, for the holidays and special occasions, with something fun and festive. The kid would get a kick out of the eggs for sure.

    I went to the market today to get some of the ingredients for the bread recipe you shared..darn it anyway if they were out of the bulk dill and I didn't want to pay over $6.00(ouch)for the jar in the regular spice section. I got some caraway seed and may sub that instead, fingers crossed. Oh, I got dried parsley, I hope that's what you used. xo

  18. I usually make a pie with stars and stripes. Love the spritz cookie idea. Wishing I hadn't given my spritz gun away. May have to invest in a new one. '-)

  21. Good morning Lynn, The red white and blue star cookies look and I know taste awesome. This 4th we will have 6 of our grands two of our daughters and one of our sons here for a week over the 4th. We will be camping for a week starting this Friday. Busy here at Backyard Neighbor's home as usual.LOL
    So we will be on a one week blog leave. I have preposted a few things to share though. I'll be back!!!
    Have a wonderful 4th and I know you will be cooking something delicious. The chicken recipe looks so good. I too have stayed away from cumin so I need to try the recipe. I enjoy your posts always.

  25. The fourth of July? Really? I can't believe it! This year we will forego our annual fourth bash as we are expecting the new grandbaby at that time. This means that I need to be the one who comes up with something clever to bring to a friends bash. The red, white and blue deviled eggs are looking very interesting! :)
