Celebrity Cook-Along, Rachael Ray!

Hey everyone, Welcome to the last Celebrity Cook-Along! You know what they say, if you can't stand the heat... get out of the kitchen in less than 30 minutes! Oh yea, I do crack myself up:@) This month I invited you to join me in making Rachael Ray's Super Sloppy Joes, recipe HERE, or any other recipe from her.

Sloppy Joes are a true crowd pleaser!
Don't hesitate to consider them for tailgating or football parties.
Just don't forget the napkins...
Notes:
  • We thought they had a very robust flavor and a nice thick sauce.
  • I think the "super sloppy" in the recipe title is because she uses hard rolls... I recommend a potato hamburger roll, potato rolls have a little more body and worked out just fine!
  • Shown with Refrigerator Bread and Butter Pickles recipe HERE.
  • They were very good and my sons said they'd like to have them again.
Family tested and Earl approved!

So, what did you make this month? Link up and let's see!
Links to older posts are welcome.
Have a happy day:@)

  1. Hi Lynn,
I can't believe it! I'm the first person to link, normally because of the time difference I'm one of the last.
I made salmon and a great tasting dessert.
    Thanks for hosting

  2. I will have to remember to link up to this next time. My daughters would love those sloppy joes. Too many onions and peppers for me. I think a toasted bun would be great too. We are going to be dehydrating a lot this month. Wonder how I can make that into a cook-along.

  4. What a great idea to use a heartier bun for sloppy joes! My usual choice of a hamburger bun always seem to fall apart & are difficult for the grandkidlets to eat.

Thanks for holding another fun Celebrity Cook Along, Lynne. I was going to make one of Rachael's pork recipes but I didn't want to hurt Earl's feelings. *wink*

    fondly,
    Rett

p.s. Can't wait to see who you're going to pick to cook with next month!

  22. Funny! I made this recipe last week. I hadn't made sloppy Joes for years so I Googled for a recipe and chose this one. We ate ours on some nice whole wheat hamburger buns, toasted, they were just right!

    Blessings, Debbie

  23. I will tell you this - I love a lot of her recipes and have made some - I find it much more then 30 minutes - I don't have anyone to get all the items ready and shopped for and cleaned up afterwards - but I do like her!
