Went Junking!

Hey everyone! I thought I'd swing by the Salvation Army and see if there was anything I couldn't live without... I was just complaining mentioning to Ma that I don't like the way they keep all of the Christmas items in the back until Thanksgiving, they should put them out as they get them...

I noticed this gingerbread boy cookie cutter on the shelf:
The boy himself is 6" long by 4" wide.

Yep, that's 69¢

This is all metal...

and look at the workmanship, the welding seam (top of head) is completely smooth on the outside!

This is one indestructible cookie cutter!
Has anyone seen one of these before? It sure is neat, I grabbed it because I thought I should.
I see one on ebay listed as "vintage, buy it now for $24.99".

Earl says...
"Yea, that's cute, where are the cookies???"
Have a happy day:@)

  4. I have never seen one built like that, and isn't that quite big? Maybe some wonderful husband that was a welder, made it for his wife bccause she was sick of the regular ones bending...Anyway, you got a great deal and we all know you will put it to good use! xo

  5. I'd say you have a little investment there, $24.99 on EBay? That is a lot of dough for 1 cookie cutter. xo,

  6. I've made gingerbread cookies every Christmas for over 30 years! I love the cutters I use, some of which are copper and some plastic, as I make different size cookies. I agree that the one you found is very well made!

  18. Our thrifts have Christmas stuff out ALL year long. I think it is the largest section in the store, well along with baskets.

Very nice sturdy cuter you have there. You can decorate in R/W/B this weekend!

Did you see the new thrift hop? Club GW at Charm Bracelet Diva.

  23. I never liked gingerbread as a kid, but what I'd do now to have a big ol' cookie to dunk in my coffee! LOL Your purchase was a bargain, my friend! The SA here would have been selling it for much more. That store price gouges everything. Glad you came by- I'm so far behind in my reading and visiting. And I have work to contend with, on top of that! :-)
