Hot Artichoke Souffle Spread-New Food To Me

It's been a while since I've tried a New Food To Me and artichokes were one of the first things I added to the list. Dips and appys have been on my mind with football season starting back up (even if it is only pre-season right now). This Hot Artichoke Souffle Spread was good and only calls for five ingredients! No spinach? Guess I'm still the only person in the world that's never tried that famous restaurant dip... But you can smile with this one knowing you don't have spinach in your teeth:@)
This is the perfect amount of dip for a 5" baking dish.
If you have any leftovers it's great on a bagel, some sliced garden tomato would be a nice addition too.

Hot Artichoke Souffle Spread-from A Spoonful of Thyme
8oz cream cheese, room temperature
1/2 C Parmesan cheese, grated
1/2 C mayonnaise
3-4 shots Tabasco sauce
6oz marinated artichoke hearts, drained and coarsely chopped
  1. Mix the first four ingredients well and fold in the artichokes.
  2. Spoon into small baking dish and top with additional Parm if desired.
  3. Bake at 350 degrees for about 20 minutes or until the top has browned. I placed it under the broiler after 20 minutes.
  4. Serve with crackers.
Let's begin building the menus for snacking season and have a happy day:@)

  2. I saw this on Kate's blog and thought it sounded rich and delicious. Glad you enjoyed it as well. Sounds perfect for a party. Congratulations on removing another from your list. I see fish sauce there. Don't be afraid, it tastes very much like soy sauce. You don't use very much at a time and it is NOT fishy.

    Have a good week.

  4. I want to try this, I think these kind of recipes are great! Don't be afraid of the goat cheese (warmed up in the oven with honey and maybe a little bacon it's just delicious!) and the oyster sauce (personally I think it doesn't taste like oysters, but it's good in Chinese food).

  7. Mmmmmmmm...this looks fantastic! I love artichokes and always by the large two pack jars of marinated artichokes at Costco. I'm saving this recipe for my next get together with friens.

Thanks for reminding me about it & thanks for the older Cucumber and Celery Salad recipe. We have a ton of cukes!!!

  11. This sounds delicious and a very easy way to first try artichokes. I wouldn't miss the spinach either. I think you will love almost everything on your list. I have to admit I don't like goat cheese although some people love it.

  12. I know I've said this before, but I love your mission to try new foods. I want to copycat that, but I'll probably wait until next year because that procrastination thing works for me.

This one looks really delicious to me. The texture just in the picture kind of makes me hungry. (And I JUST ate!)

  13. I grew up eating artichokes in California and have now converted many Alabamians~when I serve them to my family everyone can eat a whole one by themselves! I am glad you tried them finally, they are divine and this dip is a classic -I never put spinach in mine either ;)

  14. I can eat this all by itself and by the spoonfuls! I prefer mine without the spinach, I think the spinach takes over. Can't wait for football season too and all of its fabulous finger foods and your dips!
