BBQ-Ranch Popcorn

Bloggy Buddies always mention Southern Living Magazine as a great source of inspiration. While I'm sure it's amazing I really didn't want to subscribe to another magazine right now, so I did the next best thing and signed up at SouthernLiving.com:@) I'm always looking for quick munchies and popcorn is one of my favorites, they featured this BBQ-Ranch Popcorn in their August recipes-it's good stuff folks!
It calls for 2 bags of microwave popcorn, I guessed that made about 6 cups so I used a scant 1/4 C kernels and my hot air popper. And since we're calling this BBQ... I might add a little cayenne next time:@)

BBQ-Ranch Popcorn-from Southernliving.com
1 (1 oz) envelope dry Ranch Dressing Mix
2 tsp smoked paprika-I only had regular but would love the smoked kind
1 tsp brown sugar
2 bags microwave popcorn
~Mix the first 3 ingredients well. Pop the corn, sprinkle on the mix and enjoy!

Have a happy day:@)

  1. I love flavored popcorn! This looks delish. I don't know if I've ever even seen smoked paprika. Now, I'm going to look. It would be great on deviled eggs, too.

  3. This is so much better than the popcorn that you get at the movies. I love smoked paprika and it brings a lot of flavor to recipes.

You were smart to sign up for emails rather than subscribe. Sometimes I flip through magazines at the store and if I see a recipe I like, I try to find it online first rather than buy the magazine. Southern Living & Cooking Light are some of best ones for finding online. And their emails bring a lot of great recipes to my inbox.

  4. Lynn,
I never cared much for popcorn, but I make it at least once a week anymore! Usually caramel, but I was just craving some...
Wow, you are talented with the crocheting!
