Savory Herbs de Provence Popcorn

Hey everyone! Ever think about adding fresh garlic to popcorn? How about the lavender buds in Herbs de Provence... No? Well, I'm here to tell ya, you might just want to think about it:@) This grown-up popcorn is full of big flavors and a wonderful treat, some even say it's great with a glass of wine.
I started with a recipe from Jolly Time and did cut back quite a bit, my measurements are in italics.
I'm sure it's immensely flavorful as written. This is a fun popcorn folks!

Savory Herbs de Provence Popcorn
8 C popped corn-a little over 4 cups air popped
1/4 C butter-a heaping Tblsp
2 cloves garlic minced-I grated 1/2 of a clove with the microplane
2 Tblsp Herbs de Provence-1 tsp (2 Tblsp is a lot folks)
I added a big pinch of kosher salt
  • Melt butter in small pan, stir in garlic and cook 1 minute (I added the butter and garlic to a ramekin and used the microwave for a few seconds until melted). Stir in spices and pour over popcorn. Serve immediately.
Earl says...
Ooh la la, you melt the butter, I'll get the cork screw!

Have a happy day:@)

  1. I would love to visit you and try this garlic popcorn. We do love air popped popcorn at our house and this is a new twist. Did you say "lavender buds"? Hmmm, I will think about it.

  4. This sounds like a great grown-up popcorn, thanks for the receipe. I have been making popcorn the old-fashioned way in a skillet and shaking it. It tastes so much better to me than microwave. Have you tried cocoanut oil yet???It was always so bad for us and now the docs say it has a lot of good health benefits!!!Popcorn is fabulous popped in 2T cocoanut oil (1/2 cup popcorn).
