We interrupt this blog...

For a ground breaking announcement-

Forget the Elephants and Donkeys in Washington...
For the 2012 election we're introducing the
Porcine Party!
Earl for President!

His platform is:
We need to bring back old fashioned values and The American Dream!
An honest days wages for an honest days work.
Affordable healthcare and family housing...
and a *chicken* in every pot!

So vote for Earl and put an end to Pig Headed Politics as we know it today,
and let's put a real Ham in the White House!

We now return you to your regularly scheduled silliness...

  1. My husband and I were discussing the need for another party. Sign us on! I notice that Earl is running on a "chicken in every pot" rather than a "pork roast in every pot". I hope he can become more partisan!!

    Best,
    Bonnie

  5. I love Earl, but I would be a bit nervous about voting for him...He might sign an Executive Order, banning the consumption of PORK!

BTW I made lemon zucchini muffins today from your recipe, yummy.
The Senior Partner liked them too which amazed me - poor man, he is so tired of eating zucchini!!

  9. I'm guessing Earl's Announcement to Run for President is part of the 'Prepare Now' warning about the economy....mmmmm....and on the same day as Texas' Gov. Rick Perry's! Just think two candidates from the PigPen Party!

  10. Too bad the comments became political already. It was bound to happen. I know you didn't mean it to be, but a few have already hijacked instead of taking for the fun you meant it to be. :(

  16. I'm terrified to think how many write in votes Earl may get. I'm tempted!! Great platform...

I didn't think to mention it in my post but yes, of course you can freeze the rolls before the pan rising and bake fresh. Sorry about that!

  19. I needed a good laugh, and definitely would vote for earl. My husband and I agree there needs to be a 3rd party, one that concerns itself with the running of our government without all this mud slinging, finger-pointing and personal gain. I say if they don't know how to do their jobs then "we the people" should be able to vote whether they get a pay raise. I am beginning to believe that the only thing they can all agree on is their pay raises. They sure don't care about the voters once they get into office.....what a can of worms!
