Retro Two Tone, Two Ingredient Jello Dessert

Looking for something fun to do with the kids? I'm still on my Jello kick folks, so I just had to try this Two Tone Jello Dessert for Easter. You could use a red or green for Christmas, or any corresponding color for the occasion. It's amazing that you mix everything together and as it sets up in the fridge the colors automatically separate! Using orange Jello creates a creamsicle flavor profile and this is a nice little treat. I made half of the recipe in a 2 1/2 C mold and there was a little bit of extra space for more Jello. Why wasn't the mold filled up? Because I didn't realize Cool Whip comes it a couple different size containers... So my picture shows one box of Jello with half of an 8oz Cool Whip. Oooops, but it's still good:@)
I did try this once before with sugar free Jello and didn't care for that, I suggest using regular Jello.
Recipe is easily cut in half (following directions:@)

Retro Two Tone Jello-from Kraft via Oh My Sugar High
1 eight serving size (or 2 four serving size) boxes of Jello, flavor of choice
16oz Cool Whip, thawed
3 C boiling water
  1. Stir Jello and boiling water until Jello dissolves.
  2. Add Cool Whip, stir until thoroughly incorporated. Mixture will be thin.
  3. Pour into mold sprayed with cooking spray and place in refrigerator for at least 8 hours, or preferably overnight.
  4. To unmold, dip in warm (not hot) water for a few seconds, dry bottom. Place plate on top, turn upside down and give a gentle shake.
Make something just for fun and have a happy day:@)
