Tea Light Turkeys-Battery Operated Kids Craft

I picked up some orange tea lights on clearance at Walmart and thought these Tea Light Turkeys would be a fun Thanksgiving craft for the kids! I can see one blinking away on every plate at the kiddie table or glued onto napkin rings. Helpful hint: I do suggest trying every-single-light... a few times... They don't always work, so you might want to get a few extra.

White lights would be fine.

I've added the ornament label, they'd be cute hanging on a Thanksgiving tree.

They'd make fun pins or embellishments for headbands too. 

Supplies:
battery operated tea lights
feathers-any color or shape you'd like or have
googly eyes-mine were a mixed bag from Dollar Tree. I like using two different sizes.
red bump chenille
glue-I used hot glue, perhaps FabriTac would work for the kids (any ideas?)

1. Glue the feathers onto the back of the tea light. Trim them first if too long, you want to make sure you can get to the switch to turn the light on and off.
2. Wrap one bump of the red chenille around the bulb to look like the red gobbly thing, make one side longer.
3. Glue the eyes on.
4. That's it folks, gotta love it! Oh and, if you want to make them and surprise the kids or grands, it literally took me 2 minutes to whip one up... Waiting for the glue gun to get hot was the most time consuming part.

Another fun table favor would be these Ferraro Rocher Turkeys, kids and adults like them!
