The feathers are flying!

Hey everyone, It's time for Sheila's Rooster and Hen Party! I'm joining with an original piece of stained glass. I drew the pattern and made this one in browns and amber, it also has just a touch of red.

My son's girlfriend (at that time) gave me this great hand painted slate from a Craft Fair!
The slate was salvaged from the roof of an old horse barn from the 1800's in Vernon, NY.

Earl's on vacation, headed to the Jersey Shore... That ham bone ought to fit right in:@)
I still thought I'd leave you with a little bit of silliness:
Have a happy day:@)

  1. That stained glass is gorgeous! My hubby does stained glass so we are very picky about handing out praise for it (esp when people ask a lot of $ for a sloppy piece at craft fairs). Great colors and design.

  19. Having just seen the last episode of "In Plain Sight" for the season, your KFC Witness Protection Program poster gave me a giggle. Your stained glass is beautiful. We bought a stained glass window from a restaurant a couple of years ago and are waiting to be able to built it into our new house. I should do a blog post on this, now that I think about it. It is baking related. Thanks for the inspiration!

  48. Crack me up Lynn! Love the rooster on stilts hiding out with the flamingos. I snorted out loud when I saw that one. It's a wonder Earl didn't hear me and think it was a mating call or something strange like that! LOL It's always fun to have a piece of stained glass in the window for the sunshine to help brighten your day! All my roo's are put away for a while. May come out to play another day..... xo Sue
