Berry Thrifty Breakfast

Hey everyone-Happy Tablescape Thursday with a twist! I've accepted Diann's challenge to see if we could set a table using only thrifty items so I'm also joining the first Thrifty Tablescape Party!

Doily/runner from a yard sale $1
Footed milk glass bowl-Salvation Army 99¢
Corelle Strawberry Sundae pattern, 4 plates from Salvation Army 69¢ each, cups 39¢
Strawberries-I bought 10 hanging baskets that were marked down from $12.99 each to $1

Flatware was a give-away from Michael at Designs By Gollum:@)
Napkins, set of four-TJ Maxx reduced to $4
Mini vases, set of three-Walmart marked down to $1
Ma gave me a clump of the little daisies from her yard years ago.
Enjoying fresh strawberries from the garden on pretty plates... priceless:@)
Have a happy day!

  1. What a great challenge. It just goes to show you don't have to have expensive china, silver, and crystal to set a beautiful table. It looks great, Lynn!

  27. Oh, I LOVE Corelle dishes!! I collect them whenever I see them now, and have heard other women say that they now wish they had hung onto theirs!.. Funny thing to me today, though, was that I picked up some Corelle today from a garage sale, for FREE!.. But I didn't know it till I got HOME! It's called Corelle Coordinates (don't know the pattern yet).. but it weighs and feels like stoneware/Phaltzgraff. Well, whatever the case, I just thought it was pretty!... Love your milk glass from Salvation Armani! Have a great weekend! ~tina
