Memorial Day Thoughts

Hey everyone-Happy Tablescape Thursday! I hope you all have fun plans for Memorial Day Weekend full of good friends, family and great food!
It's a day of celebration but also a day of remembrance, respect and gratitude.

Memorial Day: Commemorates US Soldiers who died while in the military service, in all wars.
I like the detailing on the clear bowl and think the angel holding the heart suits the occasion.
From an Air Force Veteran to all those serving or who have served, "thank you".
Fly your flags proudly!

As we enjoy Tablescape Thursday:
On the Thursday before Memorial Day, soldiers from the 3rd U.S. Infantry (The Old Guard) place small American flags at each of the more than 260,000 gravestones at Arlington National Cemetery. They patrol the cemetery 24 hours a day during the weekend to ensure that each flag remains standing.
Have a happy day:@)

  2. What a beautiful post. My father served in WWII so I feel very touched by those who serve in the military for us. I love the little cherub with the heart. My heart goes out to all those who are in the military now and their families and pray that they will all come home.

  3. Thank you, Lynn, for serving, and your uplifting blog, too. Blogger is still having problems, and it seems they aren't aware of it, but I switched to a pop down (or is it pop up?) comment box and that worked for me. I think the little angel with the heart is very cute. xo,

  18. Hello! This is my first visit to your blog and I have thoroughly enjoyed my visit. I have to tell you that I LOVE the name...the first time I read it I had to laugh...how cute! Love your tablescape. I'm afraid we'll be back at painting the house this weekend if we're not getting tornado warnings again. First we're in a drought..now we've got a steady stream of storms coming in. I'm pretty sure I saw the tree's smiling this morning though. Anyway I just wanted to stop by and leave a message to say HI and Happy Memorial Day to you and yours. Have a wonderful Thursday!
