I used my squatty little $1 thrift store vase and it fits perfectly into the tiered tray centerpiece.
I aim for a functional centerpiece with a few seasonal touches, and ♥ my old Corelle sugar and creamer set:@)
All of the nice warm weather we've been having in Philly has me thinking about grilling out and I saw this new McCormick Grill Mates Marinade today... Can't wait to try it with pork chops or maybe even the variation on the back that calls for adding mustard, I think that would be good on pork tenderloin.
New items on the St. Pat's tree this year include the leprechaun ornaments from stickers, two smaller clover bead ornaments and a few orange balls (from Halloween clearance). While putting away Christmas I decided to place the box of glitter balls towards the front of the closet for easy access, that allowed me to use some green and gold balls on this tree:@)
New smaller accent bead shamrocks from the $1 bead bin at Walmart. The ornament is about 2" across and I had enough beads to make two.
We're looking forward to corned beef and cabbage for Sunday dinner, including our favorite quick rye dinner rolls!

ReplyDeleteDaffodils are available in the grocery in small bundles for a $1. I need to pick some up and fill a vase or too. They do make one smile! Corned beef and cabbage sounds delicious. I think that's what I will make too.

ReplyDeleteLynn, your little tree is darling! I do the same thing with my "RED" box of things...keeping it at close hand from Christmas to Valentines to Memorial Day to Flag Day to the Fourth all the way through Labor Day.

ReplyDeleteI didn't get past the daffodils. They are absolutely my favorite. My mother grew lots of different varieties and there were always flowers in our bedrooms when we were growing up.

ReplyDeleteYou are so lucky to have daffs blooming already! We've had a fairly mild stretch but it looks like we're going downhill toward the end of the week. I'm just starting to see the daff leaves poke out from the ground here.
