Haven't been on the computer since your beer can chicken heads, and I have missed some GREAT posts and ideas. I am glad to be caught up. I am definitely going to try the fork in the plant thing. Great tip!
What a lovely way to start the day. BTW, thanks to that fork post (fabulous idea & I've shared it with friends), you helped me figure out what was eating our marigolds. I just wanted to say thanks again. Sam
A friend's daughter just got married and had a peony bouquet. So lovely! BTW, I made your pork tenderloin with bourbon marinade, and we cooked it on our charcoal grill. The BBQ smell was amazing, and we loved it!
What a gorgeous bouquet! We love peonies at our house too! I keep spying on our blooms. They are normally open for Josie's birthday. We might be a bit delayed this year. Her party is Sunday.
Wow, those are just glorious. It brings back memories for me; we used to pick my mom's peonies, put them in a big wash tub with lots of water and take turns stomping on them (with our feet). Then we'd put the water into pint size glass jars and put them in our little red wagon. We ring all the doorbells in the neighborhood and ask if the ladies wanted to buy our "perfume".
Oh Lynn, these peonies are GORGEOUS!! I love their ruffled, frilly petals -- so very elegant and old-fashioned. I also want to thank you for the fork-in-the-planter tip. I plan on trying this, as well. I've bought flowers to plant on our porch this weekend, and the squirrels always make a mess of them every year. Great idea and thanks for sharing!

ReplyDeleteThese made me smile. After working outside all day, it makes me happy to see something that doesn't have to be planted each and every spring!!
