Simple Red, White and Blue Ornaments or Ribbon Embellishments

I'll be decorating my little feather tree for the summer holidays soon and whipped up a couple super simple Ribbon Ornaments, they'd be cute embellishments for barrettes or napkin rings too. I found the Air Force buttons on clearance at Walmart many years ago and think they're perfect for this project! The only thing I may add is a little fine gold glitter to the outer edge of the button-I do love me some bling:@)
There really aren't any directions here folks: just cut the ribbon and fold one edge over, either glue or sew together. Add any fun buttons and sequins you have, either glue or sew on. I added a little fishing line to hang them on my tree.

 Have a happy day:@)

  5. Love both of these ribbons, but the Air Force button one speaks to me a little louder since Hubby is an Air Force vet. Very nice!

  9. Lynn, I LOVE these ribbons especially with the buttons added! Were you in the Air Force during those years? I am thinking perhaps you were but I never knew that. I have had good luck decorating buttons with paint pens, even adding a little very fine glitter to the wet paint and if you get a fine tip one you can really do little details. Linda

  11. I love your patriotic ornaments, Lynn! I'm glad you mentioned the bit about napkin rings because that gives me some ideas for summer holiday tables. :) I remember you were in the Air Force because you were stationed in England for awhile, weren't you? Thank you for your service to all of us! Have a wonderful weekend!!
