Floral Deviled Eggs

Sometimes the simplest things have the biggest impact and these Floral Deviled Eggs couldn't be easier. I've been trying to figure out a way to make a small flower garnish out of vegetables for the longest time and after seeing Bloggy Buddy Mary's post HERE decided... Why not just use edible flowers!
Gently push a pretty, edible and pesticide free flower into your favorite deviled egg recipe.
There's a list of possibilities from Wikipedia HERE and a very informative article from Backyard Boss HERE.
I used violas and felt they tasted... flowery (profound editorial, I know:@).
Truthfully, I'd approach this as a garnishment and wouldn't be upset if folks removed the flower before eating the egg.

Happy Mother's Day Everyone!
Enjoy the day:@)

  3. Hi Lynn~ I love the violas on top of your deviled eggs! I think they're more of a garnish too, I've had a couple of friends nibble on a petal and once their curiosity is satisfied they remove them :) A sweet little flower & touch for Mother's Day! Thanks for the shout out, I hope you're enjoying some sunshine and flowers this weekend!

  5. I've used nasturtiums on deviled eggs for a peppery flavor but love the violas. They have such sweet faces! Happy Mother's day to you.

  15. Very pretty on the side but I think I would go with some lovely green chives snippets on my eggs.
