Are You Ready For Some Football?

Somehow I missed checking out Saturday Centus this morning and here it's about my favorite season of the year, football season! The prompt is are you ready for some football?, we have up to 100 words, additional pictures are ok and can use any type of writing we want to. I likey:@)
The link for some great weathervanes can be found HERE.

Are You Ready For Some Football?
Tis the season I wait for all year,
Love it when the rowdy fans cheer!
Hit 'em hard and make them fear,
Did that big guy just shed a tear?
Pass me a burger and a cold beer,
And keep that bowl of chips near.
It makes the work week disappear,
So I spend my Sundays sitting here.
Oh yes, I am ready:@)

  1. Yep: Go Purdue, IU, Notre Dame (I'm all over the place in IN) and Da Bears, the Colts, the Patriots, Virginia Tech. If I've left out your favorite team, just let me know and I'll root for them!!

    Best,
    Bonnie

  2. SOOOOOOOO PIGS!!!!! Razorbacks!! LOL... my favorite college team, small school I love Newberry College in SC. Pro, I'm all over the map.. Saints, Texans, Cowboys, Denver, Miami, Steelers, the 49'rs. I love watching college and pro ball, used to be at a high school game every Friday night, now though I have moved and don't even know where the stadium is! LOL. You can have my beer, but I'll be sitting with chips and dips, burgers and dogs on the grill every Sunday! Maybe some pulled pork now and then also!! Enjoy your games, as you can see I'm pretty open on who wins, some exceptions do apply of course but will for the sake of good spirits not mention any particular teams, ; ) Have a great season!!

  3. We are a football family here in Kentucky. While UK is not known for football titles, we are still in the SEC, greatest conference in college football. Love all SEC football. I love spending my Sundays with Drew, Eli, Peyton, Tim, Tony, and the boys. Today we had sliders for the early games and have fixed buffalo chicken nachos for the evening games. UK and Louisville play tomorrow ... still planning the food.

  11. Good morning Lynn, This post is dear to our hearts. We are BIG football fans as well. We have season tickets to the FL. Gator games. We are a Gator alumni family. Three of our children and my hubs graduated from there.

Love your poem Lynn. It is too early in the morning for me to think of anymore than this comment. HA!
    Gotta get some more coffee.
Have fun this season of football.
    Hugs, Jeanne
